Реферат: 1409336 Coated expandable particles SHELL INTERNATIONALE RESEARCH MAATSCHAPPIJ BV 11 April 1974 [13 April 1973] 17898/73 Heading B2E [Also in Division C3] Coated expandable particles are made by coating expandable particles of a polymer of a vinyl or vinylidene. aromatic compound, or its alkyl or. halogen derivative, with a 1-(2- hydroxyethyl)-2-alkylamidazoline of formula where R is an alkyl group e.g. C 11 H 23 or C 17 H 35 . The expandable particles may consist of polystyrene beads containing a mixture of n- and iso-pentane. The coating may also comprise a non-ionic surfactant e.g. an alkylphenol/alkylene oxide condensate e.g. an octylphenol/ethylene oxide condensate. In the examples the coatings were applied as solutions in industrial methylated spirits.
