Реферат: 391,781. Television. BAKER, T. T., The Hut, Hatch End, Middlesex. Nov. 2, 1931, No. 30321. [Class 40 (iii).] A colour television system employs at the transmitting and receiving ends a rotating scanning disc with a set of apertures or the like arranged to scan'the field once per revolution of the disc and in front of or behind the disc a second rotating disc formed with a number of transparent coloured portions and arranged so that during the rotations of the discs, each of the apertures co-operates in turn with each of the coloured portions. The scanning disc 1 has a single spiral 2 of apertures 5, 6 .. and a disc 4 with three transparent sectors of different colours is rotated at a speed about two and a quarter times that of the scanning disc so that during the rotations of the two discs, each aperture is associated with each of the coloured portions in turn. The light reflected from the object scanned may pass to a panchromatic cell or to a bank of cells with individual cells sensitive to the colours employed in the transparent disc. At the receiving end similar discs are rotated in an identical manner and cooperate with a source which emits light con. taining the various colours of the second disc. The transparent portions may be equal in number to the scanning apertures, with successive portions differently coloured according to a two-colour or three-colour system.
