Реферат: A radial tyre has a tread with a number of obliquely disposed rib features running at an acute angle to the circumferential centre line, and grooves parallel to them and ending in bends at the shoulders. These features on the one half of the tread run opposite to those on the other half, the grooves running outwards from the centre line at an acute angle to it. The ribs concerned are joined together at the centre line so that the starts of the grooves are offset from each other circumferentially. The bends in the grooves are at the ends between the centre and shoulder. The shoulder grooves run at 95-125 deg. (as measured along their centres) and are open ended at the shoulders. The ribs have at least partial cross-cuts 0.45-2.5mm wide running parallel to those at the shoulder and disposed in V-shapes across the tread width. ADVANTAGE - The treads provide an improved non-skin behaviour in wet conditions (i.e., better than the parent patent) when used for wide tyres with height/width ratios up to 0.6. This improvement is achieved without adverse effect on resistance to skidding in dry conditions, or lateral loads or resistance to tracks.
