Flying wing for aircraft - has each outer extremity hinged about axis parallel to leading edge and controlled separately for manoeuvring
Реферат: The flying wing is fitted to a aircraft for controlling its manoeuvres, in place of flaps. The wing is swept back and has each outer extremity (B, B1') hinged about an axis (XX', YY') parallel to the wing leading edge. The centres of thrust for the central section (A) and for the outer extremities form a triangle, its height parallel to the fuselage longitudinal axis. The aircraft is controlled by varying the angle of incidence of the outer extremities. When the latter are turned in the same sense, the aircraft drives or climbs, and when they are turned in opposite senses, the aircraft turns.
