[Class 27] Savings' boxes; articles stored in piles.- A carton affording a means for educating. children in saving money, comprises a cardboard or like casing 1, Fig. 2, with a partition 6 forming a compartment 10 for a stack of sweetmeats or the like 10a, and a coin-slot 21 located so that when a coin is pushed therein it engages and displaces the bottom packet to a shoot 14 leading to an outlet 19, the coin then falling into a receptacle 12. The shoot 14 is formed by a cardboard strip 15 attached to a tray 17. A resilient abutment 22 on the partition 6 yieldingly opposes displacement of the packets. The casing is closed by a lid 3 recessed to form a tray and provided with a depending tray 5 which, when the lid is reversed, forms a support for a box of matches or spare coins. In a modification, Fig. 4, the carton is provided with a sheath 25 which, when removed, enables the coins to be withdrawn from the compartment 12.
