Реферат: 22.089. Pope, E. J., and Mullen, J. A. Oct. 10. Rag-engines and other pulping-engines.-The back-fall 2 is of the shape shown, and carries the bed 3, above which is a beater cylinder 4. The blades of the cylinder are of equal thickness throughout, are bound together by rings 6<a>, and are separated by wedge-shaped blocks of wood, which extend nearly to the outer edges of the blades. The blades may be arranged in groups, the several groups being separated by wood blocks of greater thickness than those which separate the blades of a group. Between the beater 4 and the summit of the back-fall is arranged a rotating propellor 7, which removes the treated pulp from the beater and lifts it over the back-fall, thereby assisting the circulation of the pulp through the tub or receptacle 1.
