Реферат: A lockable sliding clasp fastener includes a locking rod, which, after the rows of teeth of the fastener have been interengaged by a sliding clasp, is inserted into a longitudinal central passageway defined by the interengaging teeth to prevent sepn. of the teeth. The locking rod may be a metal or plastic coated metal filament. The fastener provides a strong and hard wearing mechanical joint between sections of an endless conveyor, used e.g. for advancing paper webs through a drying appts. The fastener can be readily undone, to replace sections, is air-permeable and doesn't damage the paper.
