Реферат: The apparatus includes improved equipment for nondestructive, ultrasonic testing of moving materials. Sheet steel may be tested during production using the impulse echo traverse method. Dead zones are obviated by making use of scanning heads having several receiving units of a number of senders, and each sender works only as such and each receiver operates only as a receiver, the resonance surfaces of each being of different magnitudes. Pref, the resonance surface of the sender in the transverse direction of the test material is greater than that of any one receiver. Each receiver may have an associated pre-amplifier.
