The catalyst system leads to polymers of variable molecular weight and stereotacticity, depending on the substituents R3 to R6 chosen, at polymerization temperatures which are relevant in industry.

This polyolefin has a very high syndiotactic index. At a low polymerization temperature, a polyolefin having a low average molecular weight and narrow molecular weight distribution is obtained, and at a high polymerization temperature a polymer having a high average molecular weight and a wide molecular weight distribution is obtained. Shaped articles produced from the polymers are distinguished by a high transparency, flexibility, tear strength and excellent surface gloss.

Die Copolymerisation wird in Gegenwart von Salzen wie Nitraten, bevorzugt aber Halogeniden zweiwertiger Metallionen als Komplexbildner in organischen Lösungsmitteln bei Drucken bis zu ca. 100 bar und bei Temperaturen, die zwischen -78°C und 100°C liegen unter Verwendung radikalischer Initiatoren durchgeführt. Das Reaktionsprodukt besteht aus einem Gemisch des streng alternierend aufgebauten Copolymerisats aus ungesättigter polarer Verbindung und Olefin, sowie aus einem an der ungesättigten polaren Verbindung reicheren Copolymeren. Das alternierende Copolymere läßt sich daraus durch Extraktion mit Lösungsmitteln wie Trichlormethan oder Aceton leicht abtrennen. The invention relates to a process for the preparation of alternating copolymers of unsaturated polar compounds and olefins in the presence of complexing agents, the complexing agent being able to be recovered from the copolymer-metal compound complex formed in a simple manner and in a reusable form. The copolymerization is carried out in the presence of salts such as nitrates, but preferably halides of divalent metal ions as complexing agents in organic solvents at pressures up to about 100 bar and at temperatures which are between -78 ° C. and 100 ° C. using free radical initiators. The reaction product consists of a mixture of the strictly alternating copolymer of unsaturated polar compound and olefin, and of a copolymer richer in the unsaturated polar compound. The alternating copolymer can easily be separated from it by extraction with solvents such as trichloromethane or acetone.

The film is stretched in such a way that the product of tensile strength in the longitudinal and transverse direction is greater than 50,000 (N/mm 2 ) 2 . The film is made by, among other steps, carrying out the orientation in the longitudinal and transverse directions such that the product of the longitudinal stretching ratio and the transverse stretching ratio is≧60.

Moreover, using supported catalyst systems, reactor coatings are avoided.

Particularly in the second reaction zone, the formation of polymer incrustations on the surfaces coming into contact with the polymerization mixture is prevented, preferably by ensuring that the polymerization mixture comes exclusively into contact with smooth, non-metallic surfaces. The device preferably comprises three reac-tors, all of which have a length/diameter ratio of at least 4, the first reactor standing in a vertical position and the other two reactors being in an approximately horizontal position. This makes it possible to manu-facture, over a long period, vinyl chloride polymers at good space-time yields and with a constant and good pattern of properties and a narrow particle size distri-bution.

A process for producing negative relief copies is described in which a light-sensitive material which contains an ester or an amide of a 1,2-quinonediazide sulfonic acid or carboxylic acid and a hexamethylol melamine ether as the light-sensitive compound is exposed imagewise, then heated, after cooling again exposed without original and then developed using an aqueous alkaline developer. The process allows negative copies to be made with a material that, in common processing, provides positive copies.

Also claimed is a process for producing fibres from (I), by spinning the fibres, applying an aq. suspension of a stable prepn. contg. particles of inert inorganic material as fibre lubricant, drying to form a layer of lubricant and stretching the treated fibre at above 300 (pref. 350-550) deg.C. Also claimed is the use of fibres of (I) for reinforcing plastics, esp. elastomers, and the use of films of (I) for producing membranes.

Free-flowing aqueous dispersions with pearly lustre

The aqueous dispersions with a pearly lustre essentially consist of a fatty acid glycol ester as component conferring the pearly lustre, of two particular surfactant compounds, namely a betaine and a fatty alcohol alkoxylate, and water in a defined amount in each case. The aqueous dispersions with a pearly lustre are free-flowing and thus can easily be handled. They have a pronounced pearly lustre and can easily be incorporated into surfactant compositions, whereby the latter acquire the desired pearly lustre.
