Weighting factors are associated with the color channels and at least one weighting factor is reduced. The weighting factors are applied to the color channels to produce a first transformed image. A portion of the first transformed image is analyzed to produce a first set of decoded data from the barcode.

Furthermore, the crystalline Si may be in situ doped to contain relatively high levels of substitutional carbon by carrying out the deposition at a relatively high flow rate using tetrasilane as a silicon source and a carbon-containing gas such as dodecalmethylcyclohexasilane or tetramethyldisilane under modified CVD conditions.

A provider of Internet content distributes the Internet content by embedding an advertisement placeholder in the Internet content; and provides the Internet content to an aggregator web site. The aggregator web site presents the Internet content to at least one end user with at least one advertisement in the advertisement placeholder. The advertisement placeholder is processed by a third party agent to automatically share revenue from the at least one advertisement with the provider of the Internet content and a provider of the aggregator web site. The advertisement placeholder can optionally be embedded in the Internet content using one or more templates. The third party agent also evaluates the content and at least one policy of multiple parties to identify at least one advertisement to present in the advertisement placeholder. The advertisement placeholder embodies a three party agreement between the provider of the Internet content, the provider of the aggregator web site and at least one advertiser.

The analysis provider analyzes the sample to obtain a set of analysis results corresponding to the sample identifier, s, and generates a cryptographic pre-credential, σ′, corresponding to the sample identifier, s. The pre-credential, σ′, encodes the set of analysis results and the commitment. Completion of the pre-credential, σ′, requires knowledge of the secret value, r, in the commitment. In response to cryptographic proof of knowledge by the sample provider of at least the secret value, r, in the commitment encoded in the pre-credential, σ′, corresponding to the sample identifier, s, the analysis provider supplies the pre-credential, σ′, to the sample provider. The sample provider then completes the pre-credential, σ′ using the secret value, r, to obtain a cryptographic credential, σ, encoding the set of analysis results.

A minimum possible cost (ƒ t (x* t )) associated with the selection of x* is then found and the difference between the resulting cost (ƒ t (x t )) and the minimum possible cost (ƒ t (x* t )) is determined. A direction of movement from x t to x t+1 is selected and a subsequent step that relies on the section of x t+1 is then performed.
