A route selection method and system in global title translation. The method comprises: after a signaling message is received, querying for global title translation configuration information according to global title information carried in an address of the signaling message; and when it is determined that a global title supports priority-based routing, selecting a route for the global title in descending order of route priorities, and preferentially selecting a route in a route group with a high priority. The foregoing technical solutions can better meet requirements of an operator for service transmission costs and efficiency when a route is selected according to a priority of the route in global title translation.
