The co-expression strain is obtained by co-transforming three genes of CrtE, CrtB and CrtP, which are derived from antarctic moss, into engineering bacteria through PETduet-1 and PACYCduet-1 for co-expression respectively, wherein the three genes of CrtE, CrtB and CrtP are co-transformed into the engineering bacteria through PETduet-1 and PACYCduet-1. Compared with a zeta carotene standard substance, the zeta carotene-like product expressed by the co-expression strain has the same ultraviolet spectrum, and through DPPH, ATBS and hydroxyl radical scavenging tests, the zeta carotene-like product has relatively strong in-vitro antioxidant activity, and can be used for preparing a zeta carotene-like product.
