The invention discloses a labeling control method and system, and the method comprises the steps: starting label discharge according to a feeding signal of a to-be-labeled container, and counting to obtain a label discharge length; if the edge of the label is detected, the current label output length is zeroed firstly, the label output length is counted again, and when the label output length reaches the set maximum offset length, the label is stripped and attached to the container to be labeled, and a normal signal is recorded; if the label edge is not detected, when the label output length reaches the set maximum label output length, a blank label is stripped and attached to the container to be labeled, and an abnormal signal is recorded; and when all the containers to be labeled are labeled, the products arrive at a removing position, and the products corresponding to the abnormal signals are automatically removed.
