An optimization method for alleviating call discontinuity, applied to a terminal. The method comprises: during the establishment of a network call among multiple terminals, monitoring the state of network call signals in real time; when the network call signals are abnormal, the terminals send call data that are not coded to a cloud server; when the call between two call parties is ended, receive a message that is sent by the cloud server and that indicates whether to download the call data; and when the terminals determine to download the call data, receive the call data from the cloud server and play the call data. The present invention also provides an optimization apparatus for alleviating call discontinuity. The present invent can resolve the problem of call discontinuity caused by network signal problems, and a user can download, from a cloud server, call data during the call discontinuity, thereby alleviating the problem of the call discontinuity.
