Disclosed is a reducing agent decreasing method for promoting reduction while reducing an amount of a reducing agent by inputting a carbon-containing composite material into slag containing valuable metal in a stainless steel refining process. Disclosed is a method for refining stainless steel in a converter with decreasing corrosion of a refractory in the converter.
