An open perforated assembly typically includes a film layer () on one side of the open perforated assembly, and an adhesive layer () and a release liner () on the other side. The layers and liner are perforated with a plurality of holes (). The assembly is devoid of any imperforate layer. The perforated liner has a first color visible from the other side. Upon removal of the perforated release liner the appearance of the assembly from the other side is similar to the appearance before removal of the perforated liner.
