A system comprising a database comprising authorization data and clearing data from transactions carried out at a plurality of merchants over a payment network, the authorization data comprising a plurality of transaction records, each transaction record comprising a payment card identifier, a merchant identifier, a transaction identifier, a time and date, and an authorization transaction amount; the clearing data comprising a plurality of transaction identifiers and a corresponding plurality of clearing transaction amounts. The system also comprises a gratuity calculation component in communication with the database. The gratuity calculation component is configured to: generate, from the authorization data and the clearing data, a table of matched transaction identifiers by comparing at least a subset of the transaction identifiers of the transaction records to the plurality of transaction identifiers of the clearing data; and for the matched transaction identifiers, generating gratuity data by computing respective differences between the corresponding clearing transaction amounts and authorization transaction amounts.

The invention relates to a method for regulating the lambda value of an internal combustion engine with a catalytic converter for subsequently treating the exhaust gases of the internal combustion engine, with a binary lambda probe, which is mounted upstream from the catalytic converter and which senses the composition of the exhaust gases. According to the invention, the lambda set value is superimposed with a lean/rich amplitude. This lean/rich amplitude has an integral component and a discontinuous component leading back to the lambda set value. When a change that differs from the change in the exhaust gas composition caused by the lean/rich amplitude is detected, the coefficient of the integral component is modified and/or a discontinuous component is added to the integral component or subtracted therefrom.

Methods, apparatus and systems are described for securely authenticating a person at an appropriate level of security depending on context without having to enter any passwords. In some embodiments, a meta-wallet processor receives a request for user authentication from a user device which includes a meta-wallet identifier, an entity identifier, a context identifier and user biometric data and/or user personal assets data, and/or user social media data. The meta-wallet processor determines that the user is registered meta-wallet user and is engaging in a predetermined type of activity, selects an authentication protocol, determines that the user biometric data and/or user personal assets data, and/or user social media data matches stored personal meta-wallet data and satisfies the authentication protocol, and then transmits a user authentication confirmation message to one of the user device and an entity computer associated with the entity identifier.
