The invention further relates to fuel and lubricant compositions which comprise at least one such Mannich adduct, and also a bisaminoalkylated Mannich adduct.Direct-injection gasoline engines are becoming increasingly important, since, especially in the lean range, i.e. at a lambda value of about 1 or greater, they enable better fuel utilization and a simultaneous increase in the engine output. This is accompanied by reduced carbon dioxide emission in comparison to conventional gasoline engines.The injection nozzles in direct-injection gasoline engines are disposed in the combustion chamber and are therefore exposed to extreme conditions. Under these conditions, intense decomposition and oxidation of the fuel takes place and an increased amount of deposits forms. Deposition problems affect mainly the injection nozzles, but also the inlet valves and the entire combustion chamber. Deposits on the injection nozzles restrict the fuel feed and change the injection behavior. A slightly reduced fuel feed can be compensated by appropriate electronic control; stronger feed restriction and change in the injection behavior can no longer be counteracted. However, for optimum fuel utilization and performance increase, impeccable injection behavior is essential. Therefore, the formation of deposits is to be avoided to a very substantial extent. The feed and cutting unit comprises a feed assembly, a sensor and a cutter member. The feed assembly includes a drive roller and a follower roller that frictionally engages first and second surfaces of a strip of weight material to selectively move the strip of weight material to a cutter member. The sensor is connected to a controller and measures an amount of segmented weight material on the backing material as the strip of weight material moves past the sensor. The cutter member is actuated to separate weight material segments from the backing material by cutting at least a portion of the backing material in a gap disposed between adjacent segments. Weight apply devices that receive the segments for application to an imbalanced member, are also disclosed.

Said polyisobutene amines are suitable as detergents in gasolines, reduce valve stickiness, and improve compatibility of the detergents with flotation oils and compatibility in fuel compositions containing a mineral fuel percentage and C1-C4 alkanols.

A feed and cutting unit for selectively cutting and dispensing individual weight material segments from a common strip of backing material is disclosed. The feed and cutting unit comprises a feed assembly, a sensor and a cutter member. The feed assembly includes a drive roller and a follower roller that frictionally engages first and second surfaces of a strip of weight material to selectively move the strip of weight material to a cutter member. The sensor is connected to a controller and measures an amount of segmented weight material on the backing material as the strip of weight material moves past the sensor. The cutter member is actuated to separate weight material segments from the backing material by cutting at least a portion of the backing material in a gap disposed between adjacent segments. Weight apply devices that receive the segments for application to an imbalanced member, are also disclosed.

Alternatively said mixture is selected among a mixture of phthalic acid diesters in whose ?1¿H-NMR spectrum, obtained in CDCl¿3?, the ratio of the surface area below the resonance signals in case of chemical shifts of between 1.1 and 3.0 ppm towards TMS to the surface area below the resonance signals in case of chemical shifts of between 0.5 and 1.1 ppm towards TMS is between 1.00 and 4.00. The above adipic and phthalic acid diesters are suitable for use as softeners for moulding materials on a PVC basis and characterized by high compatibility, low brittleness temperature, low stiffness in torsion and/or high thermal stability.
