Kühlmittel-pumpen-ventilatorkombination
The invention concerns a coolant pump, in particular for motor vehicles, with an electric motor with a motor shaft, at whose an end a pump impeller is arranged and at the other end a fan.
Such pumps are well-known and for example for the enterprise of the cooling circuit by motor vehicles are used.
If with motor vehicles radiator fans are used, which are propelled by their own electric motor, a separate electric motor must be intended, and is also a separate control, both for the coolant pump and the radiator fan, necessary.
The task is appropriate for the available invention to reason an arrangement to plan, with which the technical expenditure is reduced.
Solved this task with an genericin accordance with-eaten coolant pump thereby that electronics for the controlling of the electric motor contained element is arranged in the range of the fan at and/or in a housing of the coolant pump. Thereby electronics for the electric motor, which propels also the pump impeller, is cooled by the fan at the same time.
If at the other end of the motor shaft a fan is arranged, the advantage of the saving of a driving motor in the vehicle results as well as a simplified control, since by the use of a common engine both the coolant circulation and the fan cooling performance can be steered together.
Finally also a cost saving can be erziehlt in such a way that during suitable arrangement a special attachment of the pump is not necessary in the engine compartment and can by the clocked control of coolant circulation and Ventilatorleistung the radiator be perhaps made smaller.
This advantage enters in particular if in a preferential execution form of the invention the housing of the coolant pump is fastened by means of a mounting plate to the radiator of the motor vehicle.
This mounting plate can be provided with break-throughs in further training of the invention, whereby the fan is arranged within the mounting plate.
The engine can be implemented as permanent magnet synchronous motor with electronic commutation. Thus the advantage of a very high efficiency results in the case of very good controllability.
Further characteristics and advantages of the available invention result from the following description of a remark example of the invention and reference to the design.
In the design a coolant pump is represented, which exhibits an electric motor 4 of essentially conventional design. The electric motor 4 is taken up in a housing, which consists of Gehäuseteilen 6 and 7, which are tightened by screws 8 connected and at the stator 9.
The Gehäuseteil 7 is part of a mounting plate 2 with that the coolant pump to tapes to a not represented radiator of a motor vehicle to be fastened can.
The coolant pump exhibits a motor shaft I0, to whose an end ii a fan 1 is fastened and to their other end of 12 a pump impeller 13, in the represented remark example a radial-flow pump wheel.
The fan 1 is taken up within the mounting plate 2.
In the conical central range of the mounting plate 2 break-throughs 14 are intended, which serve 1 for an essentially unhindered air flow for the fan.
At the Gehäuseteil 6 axially a pump impeller housing 5 is screwed on, in which the pump impeller 13 runs and which is flowed through in the design from bottom to top by cooling agent.
In the Gehäuseteil 7 containing element 3 is arranged into electronics for the controlling of the electric motor. By circumstance that the Gehäuseteil 7 is strongly flowed around by fan air, can of electronics 3 produced warmth over Gehäuseteil 7 very much efficiently exhausted, against what this represents a problem in cases, in which with the coolant pump no fan or additional mechanism is intended for cooling, frequently. As a result of the drive of the pump impeller 13 and the fan I with the help of only one electric motor 4 arise from there altogether a set of advantages, which affect themselves by a decrease of the manufacturing costs.
To hold is finally still, which the coolant pump according to invention with motor vehicles be used cannot naturally only, but with all devices, with which a cooling is in form of a cooling agent cycle as well as a fan necessary for the cooling of the cooling agent or appropriate.
