SPRAYING DEVICE AND CARTRIDGE FOR IT
The invention concerns a spraying device, in particular such with a large volume storage vessel, whereby compressed gas is used for the spraying of tank capacity.
Usually Sprütunittel becomes, as color sprays od. such with Aerosol Treibmittein. A Aerosol propellant is stored with the means in a box, which can be sprayed, and the propellant drives the Ylittel by a spraying opening, if a valve is opened, whereby the spraying compound is sputtered and sprayed. The use of Aerosol propellants brings numerous disadvantages with itself.
Aerosol propellants are relatively expensive; the volume of the container is 2iemlJch small and lies in an order of magnitude that the container can be kept comfortable in the hand. As soon as the box is empty, it is usually thrown away. This is to that extent dangerous, when mostly propellant remains in the box le, and in addition hiedurch the entire, costs the spraying device increased.
Further spray guns are well-known for the spraying of color. Sprit2pistolen do not become generally with Aerosol Treibmittein, but operated with compressed gas, and larger Hengen liquid than with can be processed spray cans. However spray guns normally require a substantial cleaning time, if the spraying procedure is terminated or if different spraying compounds, e.g.
is mehrkomponentige colors, to be sprayed are. An advantage of the Aerosol spray cans opposite spray guns is in that cleaning of containers, is not necessary hoses, nozzles etc.
A goal of the invention is the removal of these disadvantages and the creation of a Ieistungsstarken spraying device, which is operated with Preßgas.
This goal is achieved with a spraying device of the kind initially specified by that according to invention the Sprütunittel is contained in a cartridge, which is exchangeably arranged in a pressure chamber, and that a Aerosolventil and a spray nozzle are attached at the cartridge. If the work is terminated or a different means is to be sprayed, the cartridge of the Druckk is only taken, more mmer and replaced by another. The material is e.g. sprayed compressed air by means of Preßgas, so that expensive Aerosol propellants are dispensable. Further the pressure of the gas can be in the 2s device relatively down, e.g. less than 0.7 YlPa, in order to decrease possible dangers with use of a pressure vessel. If the spraying device is not used, neither the pressure chamber nor the cartridge are at pressure. Partly used cartridges can be locked and stored for later use; empty cartridges can be filled again, whereby the waste is reduced.

A spraying apparatus utilizes pressurized gas to spray liquid contained in a large replaceable or refillable cartridge. The cartridge is positioned within a casing which provides a pressure chamber, and a source of pressurized gas is attached to the casing to pressurize the chamber. The top of the cartridge communicates with the chamber so that the liquid is also pressurized. A tube extends from above the level of the liquid in the cartridge to the bottom of the cartridge and is attached to a valve. An opening is provided in the tube adjacent to the bottom of the cartridge, and the diameter of the tube is reduced above the opening to restrict the flow of gas through the tube and to create a pressure differential in the tube. When the valve is open, pressurized gas flows through the tube, and, since the pressure of the gas inside the tube at the opening is less than the pressure of the liquid, liquid flows through the opening, mixes with the gas within the tube, and flows through the valve. 1.
