DEVICE FOR PULLING PLANTS
The invention refers to a device around pulling plants, with which several upright standing containers are einstückig connected for the admission of a plant in several neighbouring rows arranged and to a container framework with one another.
Devices for pulling plants are not to restrain the root growth of the plants, but a growing possible of the Pflanzenwurzein under healthy and normal conditions to make. They are to beyond that carry for an appropriate Wasserabfluß from the fertile soil providing. Furthermore planting devices must permit an easy removing of a plant to the Umoder Auspflanzen. Different devices are become known for pulling plants, which fulfill mostly not all of the angaführten demands. During a well-known device of the initially described kind planting pots made of plastic at the top margin are connected.
In such a way formed framework is placed into a trough, whereby the feet at the lower surface of the individual containers ensure a distance to the ground of the trough. If the plants are to be set however in the soil, they must be removed from the containers (US-PS Nr.3, 142.133).
Furthermore it is become known to hang individual planting pots up within a lattice-like framework LS (FR-PS Nr.2.050.570). Concerning the treatment in one the disadvantages mentioned above are valid for plants.
It is further well-known to take up in a rectangular box a majority of cylindrical pots (US-PS Nr.2, 602.268). Schliaßllch is well-known to hang up plants, with which the WurzeibaUen with a bundle fabric is protected, into a carrying device in such a manner that the root bundles with a nutrient fluid come underneath the carrying device into contact. A separate supporting device for the plants is not intended.
The invention preserves the task at the basis to create a device for pulling from plants to with which both the admission of individual plants and the admission of several plants are ensured in favourable way at the same time.
5 this task according to invention by the fact it is solved that the tubular and down open containers take up a plant support frame, which exhibits a wasserundurchlässigen ground section and several ribs, which rise up upward in distances at the range of the ground section, whereby the ribs, which fit approximately at the inside of the containers, extend over approximately the full length of the containers and between the lower end of the tubular containers and the ground section drainage openings is intended.
After an older, however before-published proposal the individual plants of the Pflanzenstützr hmen taken up, during pulling the plant in the greenhouse od.dgl, by a covering are surrounded. Those planted can however after distance of the covering with the help of the Stützrab_mens and a suitable planting tool into the earth be inserted directly.
With the invention the function of a covering is formed by the tubular openings of a container, into which the individual plant support frames are inserted. The plants can be stored thus with the help of the box or container in the greenhouse and sorted in the desired case. For planting the particulars are then taken out the plants containing support frames and set into the ground.
Favourable arrangements of the invention are shown in the Unteransprüchen.
Supported depending upon that, how the Pflauzenstützr hmen in the containers is arranged, the box arrangement with the help of the lower ends of the Pflanzenstützr hmen on a lower surface, or the lower surface of the box arrangement is provided with supporting legs. In the use the box arrangement in a greenhouse is set on a more gestelloder tischartige surface, whereby the plant containers are filled with a suitable fertile soil for those in it plant which can be pulled and a plant cutting or a grain is inserted into the fertile soil. Those planted in the respective plant containers so for a long time are pulled, to them are suitable for a Umoder Auspflanzen. By telescope-like pulling of the Pflanzenstützr out hmens root bundles and fertile soil can be removed and handled easily and intact.
THUS during plant growth the ribs of the plant support frame prevent a spiral formation with the increasing roots. A curved top side of the ground section leads to that the roots at the end are steered radel outward toward the drainage openings, where they can be cut off then.
For implanting the plant support frame with plant contained in it preferably a b l is arranged] {tischer nose section at the lower surface of the ground section. In this case the nose section can be provided with a circular shoulder, which cooperates in a tubular planting tool.
Remark examples of the invention become in the following on the basis of designs more near besehrieben. Show: Fig.1 one sideregards to a device for pulling plants after the invention, Fig.2 a Drauf view on the representation after Fig.l, Fig.3 increases a cut by a plant container, Fig.4 a perspective representation of a plant support frame, Fig.5 a Untersieht of the representation after Fig.3, Fig.6 one sideregards the Stüt2rahmens after Fig.4 also on I0 distance to nose section and Fig.7 shown a cut by the representation after Fig.6 along the line 7-7.
After the representation of the Fig.1 and 2 a box arrangement contains --10-- a number of plant support frames --ll--. The box arrangement --10-- as for example polystyrene, generally in form of a rectangular block preferably form-poured, is as in the two scrap views of the Fig.1 and 2 shown out of gesehäumtem thermoplastisehem material. In the box arrangement --I0-- a number perpendicular is tubular plant container --12-- formed, which extend from the top side to the lower surface, as shown in Fig.1. As shown in Fig.2, are the plant containers --12-- in a rectangular sample arranged by neighbouring rows. Preferably are in the box arrangement --10-- between each group of four containers --12-- into rautenfönnige holes --13-- formed, as shown in Fig.2. The function of the holes --13-- of it, an air movement between the lower and upper sides of the box arrangement consists --10-- to permit. Such an air movement, u.zw frequently under pressure, is used with greenhouse processes generally, in order the plants forwards excessively moistens or wet conditions to retain.
In the execution form of the Fig. 1 and 2 is the ground of the box arrangement --10-- with an amount of legs --14-- to the support on a tischartigen surface --15-- provided, so that the lower surface of the box arrangement --10-- at least around a certain distance of the top side of the tischartigen surface --15-- is distant. It is to be noted that the tisehartige surface --15-- not a solid surface to be needs, but of a Masehendrahtoberfläehe or a number with waagreehtem distance carrier from each other arranged to consist can.
Everyone the plant support frame --11-- can be trained in the Fig.4, 6 and 7 according to the representation. As shown in Fig.4, a plant support frame exists --11-- from a ground section --16-- and a number of ribs --17--. In a preferential execution form are four ribs --17-- planned, and the four ribs --17-- are with distance from each other around the range of the ground section --16-- around arranged, in order to extend from there upward. The top side of the ground section --16-- is designed as wasserundurchlässige surface. The function of this impermeable top side of the ground section --16-- exists in the avoidance of any openings, into which the roots of one, in the plant support frame --11-- increasing plant to be entered and thereby strangled would know. In a preferential execution form of the plant support frame --11-- is the top side of the ground section --16-- upward curved, and an appropriate shape for the top side curved upward is a quadripartite pyramid. Furthermore is the lower end of the ribs --17-- preferably so arranged that it lies in the corner area of the pyramid. Furthermore the ribs can --17-- with triangular cross section to be equipped, whereby the basis of each triangle on one over and adjacent on the range of the ground section --16-- and the vertices of the triangle because of an edge of the pyramid is to pulled circle. In a further preferential execution form, as for example in the Fig.6 and 7 shown, the exterior of each rib lies --17-- on the range of the ground section --16--, and the range of the ground section --16-- that is alike or somewhat smaller than the diameter of the containers by a circle of a diameter, --12-- is, limits. In such an arrangement and with distance of the ballistically trained down-hanging nose section --18-- the plant support frame can --11-- telescope-like in one the container --12-- to be used and by friction in it held, as for example a projection/lead running radially outward at the plant support frame --11--. Furthermore can this arrangement of the planting support frames --11-- either of the upper or of the lower end of the box arrangement --10-- to be used ago or removed.
In a preferential execution form is a ring --20-- einstückig with the upper ends of the ribs --17-- trained. The ring --20-- is perpendicular in one level to the longitudinal axis of the Pflanzenstützr hmens --11-- arranged. The ring --20-- can be differently trained. If one of the plant which can be pulled no album of a larger diameter than the inside diameter of the ring --20-- expected, the ring can --20-- at the extent continuous trained its.
If it is expected that the St=mm of the plant will have a diameter, that is larger than the inside diameter of the ring --20--, k n the ring --20-- so trained its that it breaks at the extent easily, or it k n in several places provided with extent interruptions its. In the execution form shown in Fig.4 the ring with Umfangsunterbreehungen in two diametrically gegenüberlo lying places is shown.
If around the external wall surfaces of the ribs --17-- and the range of the ground section --16-- pulled circle is smaller than the diameter of the plant containers --12--, then the outside diameter of the ring can --20-- so far to be increased that see its Außenfiäche Jm lining up interference firmly against the inner wall of the plant container --12-- puts, around the Fflanzenstüt2rahmen --Ii-- to hold therein. In this arrangement l Ann of the plant support frames --Ii-- nevertheless either of the top side or of the lower surface of the key arrangement --10-- If using or removing a framework --ii-- , can the ring is only from the top desired --20-- with an outside diameter to be provided, is somewhat larger than the diameter of the plant containers --12--, or with a shoulder veriaufenden radially outward, which is somewhat larger than this diameter, so that when inserting a framework --II-- the radially outward convenient lower surface of the ring --20-- on the top side of the box arrangement --10-- rests, around the Pflanzenstützrshmen --II-- of the top side of the Kastenanordm ng --10-- down-hang to leave.
In everyone in preceding descriptive execution forms must the Bodenabsehnitt --16-- so designed and arranged its that between the outer circumference of a Bodeuabschnitts --16-- and the lower end of a plant container --12-- Drainage openings are intended.
In a preferential Ausführungsforra, where the plant support frame --Ii-- with the fertile soil and a plant by means of a planting tool, growing therein, to be umgepflanzt or expenditure-planted is, is the Unterseäte of the ground section --16-- preferably with a down-hanging Nasenabsehnitt --18-- provided. A ballistically formed nose section --18-- is shown in the Fig.4 and 6. The upper outer edge the nose sections --18-- so ausgeb1 furthermore is " /det that he a ringfönllige shoulder --21-- has. The function of the circular shoulder --21-- consists of taking up the lower edge of a tubular planting tool perpendicularly mounting so that the Wurzeimasse and the fertile soil of the plant point upward within the tubular planting tool. If the planting tool with a Längsseb! itz provided, that is upward extended itself from its lower edge, can the Pflanzstüt2rahmen --II-- thus in to be used that the crown stature of the plant extends by the slot through and from the planting tool outward.
In a preferential execution form is the nose close cut --18-- einstückig with the ground section --16-- formed. During such an arrangement the plant support frame becomes --ii-- preferably teieskopartig of the lower surface of the box arrangement --10-- ago assigned or from it removes. Such Ausf hmen (lhrungsform the Pflanzenstützr --11-- can according to the representation in Fig.l in the box arrangement --I0-- are held. During such an arrangement the legs should --14-- long enough its, around senkrechten a distance between the circular shoulder --21-- and the lower surface of the box arrangement --10-- to form. This senkrechte it guarantees distance that each Pflanzenstützrshmen in Zussmmenwirkung with the plant container --12-- a complete plant drawing container 4s with drainage openings --22-- at its lower end, w e forms is evident from Fig.l. In an arrangement in accordance with in Fig. the Relbungshalterung between the plant support frames needs 1 shown --II-- and the inner wall of the containers --12-- to be not firmly, there the tischartige surface --15--, on which the complete box construction rests, the plant support frames --II-- in the correct steep banks axially to the containers --12-- stores.
SO if the Pflanzenstützrshmen --11-- in accordance with the execution form to be manufactured, with that, shown in Fig.6 and 7, the nose section --18-- of the ground section --16-- is removable, can the legs --14-- around a distance according to the height of the Nasenabschu shown in Fig.6 {tts --18-- are shortened. The lower surface of the ground section --16-- each plant support frame rests then, as in Fig.6 shown, on the top side the tischarügen surface --15-- or is with this in contact.
In the execution form shown in Fig.6 is the top side of the nose section --18-- in the center with a slit tap --23-- provided, that for catching into an opening --24-- brought s will can, those in the Bodenabsehnitt --16-- is intended.
In all the different execution forms of the plant support frame descriptive here --11-- was assumed they are poured out of a relatively cheap material, as for example polystyrene, to transplant since it is not intended to use them again but with the plant growing therein with the Umpflanzen or Auspflanzen together.
le after the execution form the Fig.3 and 5 is directed toward a box arrangement --25--, with the legs, like the legs --14-- (Fig.1 and 2) came, into abolishment. During such an arrangement are the lower ends of the nose sections --18-- on the tischartigen surface --15-- rest and the entire construction support. In such an arrangement is the lower end of the containers --12-- with a number of radially running slots --26-- provided, as shown in the Fig.3 and 5, in order to prevent a possible locking of the drainage openings. The radial slots --26-- it has such a length that it itself of the circular shoulder --21-- the nose section --18-- radially outward extend. Thus, as evident from Fig.3, the circular shoulder pushes --21-- against the bottom wall of the box arrangement --25--, in order to support these. The uncovered external ends of the slots --26-- form the drainage openings.
lm use is put on a box arrangement in accordance with the invention in one of its different descriptive execution forms generally in a greenhouse on any storage space, over in everyone by the individual plant support frames --11-- limited individual plant container individual plants too borrowed. In the conventional way of everyone of the circumscribed containers with a suitable fertile soil and used then a plant grain or a cutting is filled in 2s the fertile soil in each container or brought otherwise suitably with it in connection. Different arrangements well-known in the technology can be used for filling the plant containers. In a well-known system the fertile soil is accumulated above on the box arrangement and in-swept into the plant containers, while the box arrangement is shifted in oscillation, in order to consolidate the fertile soil appropriately. If in the box arrangement coniferous trees are to be pulled from seeds, the fertile soil in each Pflanzenbehäker is generally filled to approximately 1 cm under the upper edge and a coniferous tree seed on the fertile soil is put. Then over the grain on the fertile soil a layer from fine gravel, for example gemahlenem granite is applied. The individual containers --12-- then treated with water begossen and frequently with fertilizer, in order to guarantee a healthy growth of a plant. With the growth of a plant, e.g. by the plant --30-- 3s in Fig.3 of represented fir seedling in its container --12-- forms within the entire fertile soil and within the delimitations of the ribs --17-- the plant support frame --11-- a substantial Wurzeimasse. The ribs --17-- are inclined to prevent the roots in their growth from a spiral formation and if an increasing root one of the ribs --17-- affects, then this has the inclination to steer these upwards. If the plant roots the top side of the 40Bodenabschnitts --16-- reach, they in the direction of the drainage openings are steered downward and outward. As well as the roots the drainage openings reach, them at air are cut.
If the plant is ready for the Umpflanzen or Auspflanzen, the plant support frame becomes --11-- pulled with the fertile soil of the plant in it out of the box arrangement and afterwards as 4s a unit umgepflanzt or expenditure-plants. If at the transplantation place a furrow or other ground opening were planned, a plant support frame can --11-- without nose section --18-- into the preparatory opening to be inserted, whereby then one around the plant support frame --11-- around remaining opening by additional ground or by fixed feststampfen is closed. If the plant is to be planted injection-like, the Pflanzenstützralunen becomes --11-- with the nose section SO inserted into a tubular planting tool, its lower edge the annulus --21-- seized. Then the planting tool at the Auspflanzplatz up to an appropriate depth is pushed in into the ground, so that itself the ring --20-- for instance in Bodenhöhe rules. The planting tool can then under leaving the framework --11-- and the plant growing therein the ground to be withdrawn and the ground festgestampft, in order to bring the roots of the plant with the adjacent ground into firm contact, so that a further healthy growth of the Pflauzenwurzeln from the Pflanzenstützrùbmen --11-- between the ribs --17-- out and into the adjacent ground inside is given.
The box arrangement --10-- can hmen after appropriate cleaning and after using new Pflanzenstützr --11-- again to be used. A tray construction for growing plants in which the construction comprises a one-piece substantially rigid tray frame with a plurality of plant frames mounted in the tray frame to define a plurality of plant growing containers interconnected in a unitary assembly. The tray frame may be conveniently molded from a foamed thermoplastic material and essentially comprises a plurality of substantially rigid tubular members vertically aligned and integrally interconnected in a rectangular array of a plurality of adjacent rows. The open spaces between diagonally opposed tubular members permit air to pass between the upper and lower sides of the tray frame. The plant frames are preferably frictionally held within the tubular members, and each plant frame essentially comprises a base section and a plurality of ribs secured to the base section to upstand therefrom. Each of the plant frames is telescopically mounted in one of the tubular members with the base section in a spaced relationship with the lower end of the tubular member to provide drainage openings therebetween.
