The invention relates to a device (30) which is used to convey flat documents, such as tickets, cards and similar, on aligned conveyor modules (31, 32). According to the invention, one of the aforementioned modules comprises two parallel belts (34, 35), the opposite ends of each of said belts being wound on two pulleys (36, 37) which are mounted to rotate on shafts (38, 39) that are fixed to a frame, while the other module comprises at least one belt (35a) which is also wound on a pulley (37a). Moreover, each of the belts of each module is disposed in longitudinal contact with another belt, such that the documents are held between the stacked belts and moved by the movement of said belts. The invention is characterised in that the ends of the belts of one of the modules (31) are located beyond the ends of the belt of the neighbouring module (32).

Claims 1. device (30) for transporting flat documents, such as ticketing, cards and the like onto conveyor units (31.32) aligned with each other, one of the modules with two belts (34.35) parallel wound each at their opposite ends on two pulleys (36.37) rotatably mounted on pins (38) fixed relative to a frame, the other module comprising at least one belt (35a) wound on a pulley (37a), each of the belts of each module being disposed in contact with another belt so that the documents are maintained between superposed belts and driven by movement of the bars, the ends of the straps of one of the modules (31) being located beyond the ends of the belt (32) of the adjacent module, [...] characterized in that the belts and the upper pulleys are mounted on a frame detachable by pivoting relative to the belts and the lower pulleys.

2. device according to claim 1, characterized in that each module (31.32) comprises two pairs of superposed belts.

3. device according to one of claims 1 or 2, characterized in that the axis (38) of rotation of the two pulleys (36.37) of one of the modules is substantially aligned with the axis (39) of rotation of the pulley or the two pulleys (36a, 37a) of the adjacent module.

4. device according to claim 3, characterized in that the two axes of rotation in alignment (38.39) are physically different, so as to define a free space (44) between the two pulleys of one of the modules and the two pulleys of the other module. <Desc/Clms Page number 18>

5. device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that, for each module (31.32), the pulleys of the two stacked pairs of belts, are at each end thereof, located in line with one another.

6. device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that, for each module (31.32), the pulleys of the two stacked pairs of belts, are at each end thereof, axially offset from each other, so that there is interpenetration of the modules.

7. device according to one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the axes of the rollers of the upper belts are axially offset with respect to the axes of the lower pulleys.

8. device according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that each module (31.32) is covered by a hood (45.46, 47) which can be opened and closed independently of the cowls of the other modules.

9. device according to one of claims 1 to 8, characterized in that the modules are independent of each other and interchangeable.

10. Device according to claim 9, characterized in that it comprises a plurality of conveyor modules, some of these modules having an additional function selected from the following: reading of the document conveyed, turning of the document, the document cutting, printing of the document.

11. Application of the device according to one of claims 1 to 10 to a door automated for allowing or denying access to a space or a transportation vehicle, in particular a gate hold or to an aircraft, comprising a vertical frame (2) and constituting an elongated <Desc/Clms Page number 19> casing is closed, this frame (2) carrying a leaf (3) movable between a closed position in which the leaf (3) forms a barrier to the passage of a passenger along the frame (2) and an open position where the leaf (3) allows this passage, the upstream end of the frame (2) relative to the direction of movement of the passenger with a mouth (4) input for an access ticket and the downstream end of the rack having an outlet mouth (5) of the ticket, the frame (2) having means stdc0234 to control movement of the leaf (3) between the two aforementioned positions, a moving path of the ticket between said inlet and said outlet (4) (5) of the ticket and means for reading the ticket.
