A method for detecting recessive albino mutation of Ictalures punctatus caused by gene HPS4

Disclosed is a method for detecting recessive albino mutation of Ictalures punctatus caused by gene HPS4; according to the method disclosed by the invention, a pair of specific primers are utilized, nucleotide sequences of the specific primers are shown as SEQ ID NO.1 and SEQ ID NO.2; the specific primers are utilized to perform PCR amplification on the ictalures punctatus HPS4 gene; an amplification product is used for gel electrophoresis; genotyping results are judged according to the band number and the sizes appearing in an electrophoresis pattern: an albino individual has 99bp base deletion and only has a smaller 150bp band; an HPS4 gene of a normal individual has no change; and the normal individual only has a larger 249bp band; a gene single strand of a recessive albino mutation carrier lacks 99bp, so that the smaller band 150bp and the larger band 249bp can exist at the same time; said method disclosed by this invention can quickly and accurately detect the recessive albino mutation carrier with HPS4 gene and has important application value in an ictalures punctatus breeding process.
