Improvements in insecticide applicators

An applicator for insecticide comprises pins 3 mounted in a rubber sleeve 2 surrounding a suspension wire 1, the applicator being charged by immersing it in the insecticide and rapidly withdrawing it so that droplets form on the free ends of the pins. A drip tray may be hooked on to the lower end of the wire. In a modification (Fig. 7) the applicator is formed by slitting a strip of material 20a e.g. metal or synthetic resin, along one edge to form pins 23 which are then bent out of the plane of the strip which is wound helically on a madrel 22. In Fig. 14 plate-like elements 40 having arms 43 are assembled on a rod 41, small pins 45 being provided between the arms 43.
