Stowable forklift truck

A forklift truck has an overhead chassis structure with at least two sections 11, 12 hinged together for pivotting between an open working configuration as shown and a closed stowage configuration. The chassis has a front section 11 carrying wheels and a mast 15 and a rear section 12 carrying a motor 17 and wheel(s). To collapse, the front section is tilted against the mast 15 and the rear section tilted adjacent the front. Provides a compact arrangement when stored on the rear of a load carrying vehicle. <IMAGE>
