A screw 1 has a head 4 and a shank with a threaded portion 2. At least part of the threaded portion 2 is coated with a resilient elastic coating 3 so that when the screw is inserted in a predrilled hole, the coating 3 grips the hole thus eliminating the need for a separate wall plug.
