METHOD FOR DUPLICATING HOLOGRAM

PURPOSE: To reduce an area where a stamper comes into contact with a hologram material and to improve the releasability by making the stamper come into contact with a photopolymer layer covering a flat substrate, pressing the stamper against the layer and irradiating the contact surface with light.

CONSTITUTION: The stamper 1 formed on a curved surface is brought into contact with the photopolymer layer 2 covering the flat substrate 3 while it is pressed against the layer 2, and the contact surface 20 is irradiated with the light so as to form a relief type hologram. That means, the constitution is as follows, the stable substrate 3 which is hardly influenced by an ambient temperature and the stamper 1 formed on the curved surface are used and the contact surface of the stamper 1 with the photopolymer layer 2 on the substrate 1 is reduced at the time of forming the hologram, addition to this, only the contact surface 20 is irradiated with the light. Thus, it can be easily released without applying a strong force at the time of releasing, and the holo gram of high stability can be accurately duplicated without causing a split in the substrate in the least.
