PASSIVE APPARATUS FOR COOLING SPENT FUEL STORAGE TUB
The present invention relates to an apparatus for supplying cooling water to a spent fuel storage tub when an accident occurs, such as when a power supply is cut off. According to the present invention, nuclear fuel cladding material damage due to exhaustion of the cooling water can be effectively delayed or prevented by providing an apparatus for cooling that can supply the cooling water to the spent fuel storage tub without requiring a separate power supply. Also, emission of radioactive material during an accident can be effectively delayed or prevented by providing a multipurpose apparatus for cooling the spent fuel storage tub, which cools the spent fuel storage tub under normal conditions but supplies the cooling water to the spent fuel storage tub without requiring the separate power supply during an accident.
