Высевающий аппарат содержит крышку (11) для подлежащих распределению семян, присоединенную к корпусу, имеющему полость, сообщающуюся с всасывающим семена устройством через канал (22), вставленный в отверстие, выполненное в упомянутом корпусе, отбирающее устройство и распределительный диск с отверстиями. Распределительный диск расположен в камере, ограниченной упомянутым корпусом и упомянутой крышкой (11). С распределительным диском соединен посредством штифтов приводной диск. Оба диска приводятся во вращение посредством вала, приводимого в движение исполнительным механизмом для управления вращением дисков. Отбирающее устройство для семян выполнено с возможностью вращения на кромке корпуса. При этом отбирающее устройство содержит пластину, которая на одной из своих сторон, обращенной к центру упомянутого распределительного диска, содержит по меньшей мере два зубчатых участка, имеющих зубья разных размеров. Напротив поверхности распределительного диска, противоположной пластине, установлен криволинейный сектор, оснащенный выступами, имеющими наклонную поверхность, обращенную к распределительному диску, у его отверстий. A side plate 33 is provided with a nipple 37 connected by a conduit 24 to a vacuum pump 22 and is provided with a bolt 29 on which rotates a plate 28 and the wall 20. The plate 28 is driven from a press wheel 18 and the seed drops into a furrow formed by an opener 16. The flexible wall may be changed for one having different sized openings.

The drum is provided with a series of axially extending rows of holes which are coupled to a vacuum source as each row passes through the tumbling seeds in the trough. A single seed is attracted to each hole and is carried by the drum to a discharge location where the hole in question is disconnected from the vacuum source and instead connected to a source of pressure which then acts to eject the seed from the drum.

A direct drive seed metering system includes a seed disc having a plurality of suction apertures with a recessed pocket adjacent to an aperture. An in-the-field seed treating method and apparatus in which a treating fluid, such as an emulsion containing an insecticide, fungicide, or bactericide or the like, is sprayed onto seeds as they move from a seed hopper to a planting tube and into a planting furrow. The system is particularly directed to a plateless planter using an air pick-up system, either positive or negative pressure relative to atmosphere, for selecting seeds from a rotating drum or an intermediate pick-up chamber. In one form, the system permits air, heated by compression, to flow over the coated seeds to dry the coating as they rotate in a planting drum or disk; thus, the coating is dried on the seeds before introduction into the planting tube so that coating is not lost and the planting tubes remain clean. A hydraulic control circuit is disclosed for regulating flow of treating fluid from a "bypass" nozzle to an exceptionally low range, from about 0.2 to 5 gallons per hour. Such low rates also assure that seed coating is dried before the seeds are planted.

The wall is made with a plurality of through retaining holes for receiving the seeds on the seed receiving side of the wall by the pressure difference on the walls, in retaining holes. The seeds are then moved by the rotation of the wall to the distance of the wall movement, and they are released from the wall. The means for applying pressure comprises a pneumatic device connected to the air duct and providing the main air flow through the air duct toward the seed receiving side of the wall. The return pipeline is connected between the wall side which is opposite the seed receiving side, and the pneumatic device, and in the return pipeline the part of the main air flow is transferred back into the air duct and/or to the inlet side of the pneumatic device, and the part of the main air flow is directed downwards into the soil through the outlet pipeline. On the outside of the sowing discs there are caps fixing the gaskets at the end surface of the sowing discs, each of which contains a protrusion located tangentially from the sampling tube to the seed level in the seed chamber. Similar protrusions are made in caps. On the seed sampling tubes, from the side facing the drive shaft, the cutting plates are cantilevered. Free ends of the cutting plates abut in the upper part of the sowing device to a concentric trajectory of movement to the concentric axis of rotation of the trajectory of the movement of the dosing elements of the sowing disks close to the drive shaft. Excess grains are separated and retracted back to the first area of the housing for re-transportation. The lateral surface transforms from the wide area to the narrow one so that the narrow width of the lateral surface provides a sufficient guide for one grain to be transported. A seeding machine has a drum and roller urged together to define a seed trough. Bristles close one end of the trough and a hopper adjacent that end feeds a continuous supply of seeds to the trough. The seeds flow along the length of the trough and are discharged at the opposite end of the trough which is open. A funnel collects the discharged seeds and returns them to the hopper. The drum is provided with a series of axially extending rows of holes which are coupled to a vacuum source as each row passes through the tumbling seeds in the trough. A single seed is attracted to each hole and is carried by the drum to a discharge location where the hole in question is disconnected from the vacuum source and instead connected to a source of pressure which then acts to eject the seed from the drum.

The device comprises two supports elastically mounted at a certain distance from each other, to maintain a regulating brush applied against the internal periphery of a perforated rotating drum containing seeds and receiving compressed air, the brush serving to remove excess seeds. On the supports are mounted two oscillating consoles, which carry gauge rollers applied against the inner periphery of the drum. The angular position of one of the consoles is adjustable with respect to one of the supports, so as to modify the position of the supports and with them of the regulating brush, with respect to the interior of the drum, according to the dimensions of the different seeds.

This device consists of a hollow and interchangeable cylinder 2 in contact with a reserve 1 of seeds 3. This cylinder 2 is depressurised and, by virtue of the perforations 4 made in its periphery, seeds 3 become pressed onto its surface at the rate of one per hole 4. Following the rotation of the cylinder 2 about its spindle 5, the seeds 3 are transported before being brought to a release device such as a jet of pressurised air directed over the perforations 4 by the pipe 8 and the nozzle 9 which are themselves supplied by the pipeline 7. The evenly spaced perforations 4 are aligned in at least one row 11 on the circumference of the cylinder 2. One or more rows 11 supply the same element for placing them on the ground through use of the receptacle 12, in this latter case retained for high outputs, the rows 11 have evenly offset perforations 4 such as A=B=C=D in order always to release one seed 3 at a time, evenly. The variation in output is achieved by adjusting the rotational speed of the cylinder 2 on the one hand and by choosing the number of holes 4 on the other hand. The device according to the invention is intended for the single-seed sowing of any seed at any output without giving rise to damage to the said seed.

The seeder has a vertical rotating disc(1) with a circle of holes(4) at its periphery. The disc is subjected to a vacuum on one side so as to hold a single seed in each hole. The holes are smaller than the seed. The seed is carried by the disc to a release zone(7) where the vacuum is not applied. A paddle wheel(8) is rotated, taking its drive from the disc drive. The wheel rotates in a casing (9) which, together with the blades of the wheel forms cells for transport of the seed from zone(7) to a zone(11) where it is discharged to the ground.
