The present invention is directed to an applicator having an agricultural product conveying system which transfers particulate material from one or more source containers to application equipment on demand, and meters the material at the application equipment. The conveying system includes an inline metering system including a number of metering devices associated with each compartment of a particulate material tank on the applicator to meter the particulate material disposed within each compartment. The individual metering devices include gates to initially enable the particulate material from a compartment to enter the metering device, and a rotary metering shaft to meter the flow of the particulate material into the conduits while limiting the passage of pressurized air through the metering device and into the compartment. The individual metering devices also include individual motors to control the operation of the metering devices independently from one another that can allow with sectional control and turning compensation.

In one aspect, a system for spraying a fluid onto or near seeds may include a planter having a seed meter configured to dispense seeds from a hopper, a seed tube extending from the seed meter toward a furrow, and a rotationally-driven belt positioned within the seed tube. The belt may be configured for conveying the seeds from the seed meter through the seed tube to the furrow. The planter also includes a sprayer assembly having a nozzle configured to spray a fluid on or near the seeds dispensed from the seed meter. The present invention is directed to a seed discharge system is that employs a pair of rotating belts spaced from one another to receive the seeds from a seed metering device and to direct the seeds into the desired location within a trench over which the discharge system is positioned. A seed delivery system for use in a seeding or planting machine that removes the seed from a seed meter by capturing the seed therefrom. The delivery system then moves the seed down to a lower discharge point and accelerates the seed horizontally rearward to a speed approximately equal to the forward travel speed of the seeding machine such that the seed, when discharged has a low or zero horizontal velocity relative to the ground. Rolling of the seed in the trench is thus reduced. Furthermore, as the seed only has a short drop from the outlet to the bottom of the seed trench, the seed has little vertical speed to induce bounce. By capturing the seed and moving it from the meter to the discharge, the seed is held in place relative to other seeds and the planter row unit. A seed delivery system for a seeding machine having a seed meter , the system comprising:a housing defining an upper seed loading area and a lower seed discharge area;a drive pulley mounted to rotate with respect to the housing;a belt having a base supported for rotation by the drive pulley within the housing; anda loading wheel mounted to rotate with respect to the housing to transfer seeds from the seed meter into the belt at the seed loading area;wherein the belt conveys the seeds through the housing as the belt travels from the seed loading area to the seed discharge area.2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the seeds are singulated before the loading wheel transfers the seeds into the belt; andwherein the belt maintains the seeds in spaced relation in a belt travel direction as the seeds are conveyed by the belt through the housing to the seed discharge area3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the drive pulley drives the belt to discharge the seeds at a speed based on a travel speed of the seeding machine.4. The system of claim 3 , wherein at the seed discharge area the belt discharges the seeds to have a horizontal speed that is approximately the same as the travel speed of the seeding machine in a direction opposite a travel direction of the seeding machine.5. FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: sowing unit for a sowing machine comprises a seed meter with a dosing element. The side wall of the dosing element comprises a concave inner surface, a convex outer surface, and openings extending through the side wall. At that the dosing element is made with the ability of attachment of seeds from the stock of seeds in the lower part of the dosing element to the openings and for the sequential movement of the seeds in a release position in the upper part of the dosing element. In the release position the inner surface of the side wall faces downwards, so that the seeds are hung under the side wall. The sowing unit also has a mechanical seed delivery system made with the ability to capture the seeds from the dosing element in the release position and movement of the seeds from the seed meter to the place of release, adjacent to the seed furrow formed in soil under the sowing machine. FIELD: agriculture. SUBSTANCE: seeder consists of row units comprising a seed metering system at regular intervals and a seeding system. The metering system comprises a seed meter which can be made in the form of a flat disc with holes for the seeds. The drilling system comprises the endless element with the gripping part at the inner surface of the housing, located in the housing. The housing has an upper opening where the seeds are captured from the dispenser and moved along the inner surface of the housing, and the lower opening for throwing seeds. As a variant, the endless element is made in the form of a brush belt for gripping, movement and acceleration of the seeds. The method consists in the fact that the seeds are extracted from the seed metering device by gripping them with the bristles of the belt in the housing. After extracting the seeds the latter are clamped between the bristles of the belt and the housing and moved by the brush belt downwards to the lower end of the housing. The brush belt accelerates the seeds horizontally backwards up to speed approximately equal to the travel speed of the drill displacement. Then the seeds are thrown through the lower opening in the housing. When thrown the seeds have low or zero horizontal speed relative to the soil.
