A weeding system for an agricultural weeding vehicle including at least one camera for mounting on an agricultural vehicle to acquire an image of a portion of a field while the agricultural vehicle is moving. A precision agriculture implementation method by UAV systems and artificial intelligence image processing technologies provides an unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV), a wireless communication device, a central control unit, and a spray device and a multispectral camera installed to the UAV. The farming area is divided into an array of blocks. The central control unit controls the UAV to fly over the blocks according to navigation parameters and the multispectral camera to capture a multispectral image of each block. A projected leaf area index (PLAI) and a normalized difference vegetation index (NDVI) of each block are calculated by the multispectral image, and a spray control mode of the spray device of the corresponding block is set according to the PLAI and NDVI. The spray device is controlled to spray a water solution, salt solution, fertilizer solution, and/or pesticide solution to the corresponding block according to the spray control mode.

Disclosed herein is a hydrolopper system comprising a herbicide reservoir and pump coupled using a supply line to a hydrolopper tool. Herbicide inside the herbicide reservoir is pumped through the supply line to a first spray head positioned at a distal end of the hydrolopper tool. The hydrolopper tool comprises a blade arm opposed to a landing arm extending from a from a first drive arm and a second drive arm. Closing of the drive arms causes consequent closure between a cutting jaws portion for cutting of vegetation. In some forms, the feedline travels through a cannula of a drive arm, whereas in other forms, the feedline is disposed on the outside of a drive arm. The automated treatment of agricultural fields allows precise application of treatment to only areas of the field requiring treatment, allowing reduced use of agricultural products such as pesticides and the related reduction in environmental stress. Such automated treatment requires the monitoring of image information of the field to detect objects of interest such as weeds. Such monitoring of image information of the field suffers from the real world problem of shadows cast from the agricultural equipment and/or adjacent trees or structures that cast shadows across the field. Shadows are extracted from the image data by smoothing the data, and developing a shadow mask by employing an intensity histogram and identifying a local minima in the darker intensities of the histogram to identify a shadow threshold. The image areas within the shadow area detected by said mask are then corrected by multiplication with correction coefficients to extract the shadow. 1. Weed Killing Apparatus Using Radio Frequency Energy and Matching Circuits

A week killing device where weeds or other undesirable vegetation are killed by radio frequency (RF) energy applied directly to the weed by a probe inserted into or near the weed. The probe is comprised of a center pin, which is electrically hot, surrounded by periphery pins which are grounded. A reflection measuring circuit makes an impedance measurement of the probe in the ground and a matching circuit is adjusted to make an impedance match. Next a RF generator applies RF energy through the matching circuit into the probe. Energy delivery is monitored to insure weed kill by thermal heating. The probe can be manually applied by a person or applied by an autonomous vehicle using computer vision (CV) and artificial intelligence (AI) to identify weeds and avoid row crops. The weed killing device may apply power to the above-ground portion a of a weed with the root providing a ground return. The weed killing device may be towed and apply RF energy when a weed is detected by the impedance measurement circuit. 1. A plant killing system for killing a plant comprised of a RF generator whose output is connected to an input of a matching circuit , and output of the matching circuit that is connected to a soil probe , wherein the generator applies sufficient RF energy to the soil probe to kill the plant.2. Described herein are implements and applicators for placement of fluid applications with respect to agricultural plants of agricultural fields. In one embodiment, a fluid applicator for applying fluids to plants in rows in a field includes a base, at least one flexible or pivoting application member connected to the base and disposed to apply fluid to the plants, and a stabilizer associated with the at least one flexible or pivoting application member. The stabilizer can reduce movement of the application member to provide a more consistent fluid application to the plants.
