Method of Producing Dried Distiller's Grain with Solubles Agglomerated Particles

Номер: US20120076915A1
Автор: Russel J. Meier
Принадлежит: Individual

A method of producing Dried Distiller's Grain with Solubles (DDGS) agglomerated particles is disclosed. The method comprises the steps of separating a first product stream out of the whole stillage that is primarily solid material from a second product stream that is primarily liquid, agglomerating the first product stream using a mechanical compression machine such as an extruder, and exposing the agglomerated particles to microwave radiation of a sufficient energy for a sufficient time so that the resulting moisture of the agglomerated particles is between 3% and 40% by weight. The second product stream may be condensed and blended with the first product stream prior to, or concurrently with, the step in which the agglomerated particles are formed. Additionally, other additives, such as enzymes, may be added to the first product stream to enhance the final product's desirability as a nutritional source.

Examples of bovine animals are dairy cows and beef cattle. The invention also relates to the use of such enzyme combinations in feed additive compositions and animal feed compositions enriched with maize and maize silages. 111-. (canceled)12. A method for improving the digestibility of maize and/or maize silages in feed for animals of the subfamily Bovinae , comprising treating a maize source with an effective amount of one or more proteolytic enzymes in combination with at least one amylase.13. A method for increasing the milk yield , increasing the weight gain or improving the feed conversion ratio of an animal of the subfamily Bovinae , comprising adding at least one bacterial amylase and one or more proteolytic enzymes to the feed which comprises maize and/or maize silages.14. High-yielding cows in modern farming systems live under conditions that are characterised by a very high milk production (dairy cows) or growth rate (beef cattle), which is followed by an equally high energy requirement. The utilisation of the feed decreases markedly when intake is increased beyond maintenance levels. In part to account for this, more and more easily degradable feed is included into the ruminant feed e.g. starch-containing raw materials such a cereal-based concentrates and whole cereal silages. The starchy material is frequently recovered in the faeces implying that the utilisation of such feed ingredients could be enhanced further.Maize or maize silage is becoming more common in increasing amounts in feed rations, in particular in feed for ...

Anti-Aging Therapy for Canines and Other Domesticated Animals

Номер: US20220175694A1
Автор: Richard Postrel
Принадлежит: Individual

The present invention discloses a system and method for improving the quality of life in canines and other domesticated animals. As animals age testosterone and other supportive hormones diminish causing reduced activity, a lack of mobility, decreased bone density, and general well-being. Precursor compositions are selected and designed for the purpose of formulating non-toxic therapeutic hormone supplements for oral consumption. The process and method of this invention is comprised of therapies produced from two or more selected non-toxic prohormones that combine during digestion and delivered through a chewable and edible gummy treat. As such there is no requirement for changing the subject's current diet. The present invention features a continuous low dose supplementation to be incorporated daily whereby dosages are correlated according to the subject's age, weight, sex, and breed. The beneficial results of the present invention are achieved through the absorption of the prohormones in the composition into the bloodstream effecting delivery to all cells including those specific cells where the conversion enzymes are activated by the organism's needs. The delivery and transport of inactive prohormones minimizes liver toxicity since the precursors are carried through the hepatic portal system to and through the liver and into general circulation in inactive forms.

SYSTEMS AND METHODS FOR PRODUCING FERMENTED MILK REPLACER AND METHODS OF FEEDING SAME TO ANIMALS

Номер: US20180125093A1
Принадлежит:

Young animals such as calves may be fed milk replacers containing soy having been preserved through treatment with acid-producing bacteria that reduces a pH of the milk replacer through microbial digestion of sugars present in soy to thereby produce a fermented milk replacer. The milk replacer is edible for at least 48 hours and its digestibility in the young animals is increased due to the microbial digestion of sugars in the soy that are otherwise indigestible in the gut of the young animals. The fermented milk replacers may be ingested by young animals in group settings. In addition, the milk replacers containing soy may be treated with enzymes adapted to hydrolyze complex indigestible carbohydrates within the milk replacer, potassium sorbate or both. Feeding systems incorporating these fermented milk replacers may result in increased gain and increased dry matter intake without negatively affecting animal health. 1. A method of feeding a young animal , comprising:in a tank or feeder, fermenting a liquid milk replacer comprising soy by treating the liquid milk replacer with an acid-producing bacteria; andfeeding the young animal the fermenting liquid milk replacer.2. A method and composition are provided for coating a component to achieve colon-targeted delivery. A component is coated with a fructose-based non-digestible carbohydrate such as a inulin, fructo-oligosaccharide or neosugar. The coated component is orally administered to a monogastric animal. The non-digestible coating causes the composition to pass through the stomach and small intestine without being degraded, and delivers the component to the colon where the coating is digested by microbial fermentation and the component is released. 1. A method of delivering a component to the colon of an animal comprising coating the component with a fructose-based non-digestible carbohydrate; and providing the coated component for oral administration to the animal.2. The method of wherein the fructose-based non-digestible carbohydrate is fructan.3.
