A protective sock that integrates a protective padding to provide a unitary garment is disclosed. As such, a wearer's need to frequently adjust the position of the protective equipment is likely reduced. An integrated and flexible protective padding also limits the amount of equipment required by the wearer. The padding also conforms to the wearer's body, and thus likely increases the athlete's wearer's comfort. A protective sock that integrates a high friction surface to restrict the movement of any secondary equipment is also disclosed. Garment for improved foot and leg alignment and improved circluation

A garment for a human lower extremity with variable elasticity in the toe, heel and body of the garment is provided. A band of decreased elasticity is incorporated into the body of the sock extending from the toe area to the proximal end of the garment. A novel method for applying the sock includes twisting the garment, which results in providing targeted neuromuscular stimulation by the band to the location on the human lower extremity that the user positions the band over, thus improving alignment, gait, balance, circulation, and decreasing swelling and injury. Twisting of the garment also selectively increases a level of compression applied by the garment at said location relative to a level of pressure applied at adjacent locations. The location of the band and amount of compression generated by the garment is customizable by the wearer, depending upon the degree of twist chosen by the wearer.

In one embodiment, a process for manufacturing a glove comprises stretching an outer layer inside-out over a glove form, such that an interior surface of the outer layer faces outward. A liner having a first side and a second side opposite the first side is cut from a fabric, such as fleece. An adhesive is deposited in an adhesive pattern onto the first side of the liner. The adhesive fuses to the interior surface of the outer layer in a heat/pressure procedure, thereby affixing the first side of the liner to the interior surface of the outer layer to form the glove. Booties and footwear assemblies comprising seamless extensible film, and methods therefor

Waterproof, breathable socks, booties, shoe inserts, and footwear assemblies containing the shoe inserts are provided. The booties and shoe inserts may include a laminate comprising a seamless extensible film, such as a polyurethane film, and at least one textile. The bootie is suitable for a range of sizes and shoe shapes. The bootie may shrink to fit, or, alternatively, be stretched to fit, an asymmetrical last having a desired size to form a shoe insert. A bootie having a seamless extensible film eliminates the need to have multiple sizes of shoe inserts correlating to particular shoe sizes. In embodiments where the polyurethane film is seamless and continuous, the shoe insert eliminates the need for a waterproof seam tape, which is conventionally used to make shoe inserts waterproof. Methods of forming the socks, booties, and shoe inserts are also provided.

The technology described herein relates to breathable, vented, and insulating garments. More particularly, the technology described herein relates to garments with chambers to retain an insulating fill material. Openings along seams between the insulating chambers may achieve evaporative moisture or air transfer from the inside (proximal to the body of a wearer) of the garment to the outside environment. In an aspect, the openings along the seams are offset with interior openings, wherein the interior openings are connected to the exterior openings by a passage between garment layers. 1. A vented garment comprising an interior panel comprising a weather-resistant material and having a plurality of interior openings; andan exterior panel comprising a weather-resistant material and having a plurality of exterior openings, the exterior panel being attached to the interior panel at a location that causes individual exterior openings not to overlap with individual interior openings.2.
