A glove closure system having an opening dividing the glove into a lateral portion (thumb side) and a medial portion (pinky side). The opening allows for easy access of the user's hand. The system consists of a rectangular or oval flap attached to the lateral portion and pulled over the access opening. A push button is mounted on the flap and movably connected to a slide bar attached to the medial portion. The slide bar includes a notched surface for engaging and stationing the button at any point along the bar. The button includes a release tab which when depressed allows the button to move along the slide bar therein allowing for the closure to either be tightened or loosened. The further the button moves toward the lateral portion the tighter the closure. When the button is engaged and locked, a simple press on the release tab disengages to allow the glove to be opened.

An adjustment system for adjusting the width of a cuff has an elongated adjustment strip having a set of longitudinally extending teeth. Each tooth has a forward side and a rearward side. The length of each forward side is greater than a length of each of the rearward sides so that an angle between a longitudinal axis of the strip and the forward side is less than an angle between the longitudinal axis and the rearward side of each tooth. There is a locking mechanism formed by a base plate having a locking device on an underside and a guide for slidably connecting the locking mechanism to the strip. The teeth and the locking device are configured so that the locking device can be moved forward along the strip using only a small amount of force, and can then be moved rearward using a larger amount of force.

There is provided a garment fastening system comprising a button member adapted to be inserted into a buttonhole of a garment. The button member comprises a front wall, a rear wall and a side wall disposed therebetween. The button member defines an aperture that is extending from a portion of the rear wall and a portion of the side wall, and an internal chamber in communication with the aperture. The garment system also comprises a resilient member extending, through the aperture and having two opposite ends that are connected to the internal chamber thereby defining a loop at least partially extending outside the button member and adapted to receive a button of the garment. The aperture is dimensioned for allowing movement of said resilient member. The garment fastening system can be used for providing elasticity to a garment by simply connecting it to existing button and buttonhole.

Embodiments of smart sliding buckles are provided. The embodiments relate to garment accessories, particularly bra buckles. It includes a hooking-prong and a loop-frame. The hooking-prong is a flattened hook. The loop-frame is V-shaped. The V-shaped loop-frame includes two bars. Lower ends of the bars of the V-shaped loop-frame are curvedly connected, forming an arc. Two upper ends of the V-shaped loop-frame connect to fixing rings that can be used to fix the loop-frame on a piece of garment, such as a bra. This V-shaped loop-frame decreases the precision requirement to secure a tie. It allows certain degree of position variation between the hooking-prong and the V-shaped loop-frame to form a tie. Therefore, the embodiments disclosed herein provide the same functions as traditional buckles, yet they provide additional ease of use.

A bra comprises a signal-activated fastener which may be utilized to unfasten the bra when the signal-activated fastener receives a clapping sound generated by a person clapping his/her hands. Specifically, a strapless bra includes a sensor, a controller, and a fastener assembly cooperating to cause the bra to unfasten upon reception of the clapping sound. 1. A bra comprising a signal-activated fastener capable of receiving a clapping sound and operative to unfasten the bra when said signal-activated fastener receives the clapping sound generated by a person clapping his/her hands.2. The bra of claim 1 , wherein the bra is a strapless bra.3. The bra of claim 1 , wherein the signal-activated fastener comprises:(a) a sensor capable of sensing pressure waves generated by the clapping sound and operative to generate an electric signal;(b) a controller responsive to the electric signal and operative to generate a control signal; and(c) a fastener assembly comprising:(i) a ferrous component attached to a first front side of the bra; and(ii) an electromagnet attached to a second front side of the bra and magnetically coupled with the ferrous component thereby fastening the bra;wherein the electromagnet is responsive to the control signal and operative to demonetize thereby decoupling from the ferrous component and causing the bra to unfasten.4. The bra of claim 3 , wherein the sensor is a microphone.5. The bra of claim 3 , wherein the controller is a microprocessor.6. The bra of claim 3 , wherein the controller generates the control signal upon verifying that the electrical signal comprises two consecutive claps within a predetermined time interval.7. A brassiere closure for full figured brassieres or orthopedic use includes an easily operable engagement of a single large loop and hook. The loop is positionable into an open position in which the hook may readily engage the loop. A lacing system having multiple anchor types, i.e., interior anchors, end anchors, and dynamically adjustable anchors, that, in combination with parallel lacing technology, provide instant and reliable fastening for shoes, boots, and other articles of manufacture. The lace is threaded and anchored so that, a single arcuate pull on the movable fastener(s) causes the multiple lace segments to move through the eyelets of the shoe, and align in unison, so that the entire shoe opening contracts (or opens wide) simultaneously. The fastener(s) can be hook and loop, ratchet buckles, adjustable buckles, or cord locks. The laces are replaceable. The adjustable opening is customizable for different width feet providing “gross” adjustment. The fastener provides “fine” adjustment. Methods and diagrams are disclosed for threading, anchoring, and customizing the lacing, as well as for indicating that the lacing is correct.

Since then there has been detachable hoodies, detachable raingear and other detachable accessories, where the attachment tabs or buttons or fasteners were integral with the shirt or the shirt already had a provision for attachment of a collar, similar to what some pastors/clergy wear.
