In the clothing industry, it is known to have detachable collars for shirts as far back as the 1880's. Since then there has been detachable hoodies, detachable raingear and other detachable accessories, where the attachment tabs or buttons or fasteners were integral with the shirt or the shirt already had a provision for attachment of a collar, similar to what some pastors/clergy wear. In this invention, the detachable T-shirt collar, DTSC, is for a regular T-shirt without any provision for a detachable collar. An improved magnetic attachment system involves a female component that is associated with a first object and a male component that is associated with a second object. The female component includes a hole and a first magnetic structure having a first plurality of magnetic source regions having a first polarity pattern. The male component includes a peg that can be inserted into the hole and a second magnetic structure having a second plurality of magnetic source regions having a second polarity pattern complementary to said first polarity pattern. The male and female component are configured such that when the peg is inserted into the hole the first and second magnetic structures face each other across an interface boundary enabling magnetic attachment of the first object to the second object, where while the peg remains inserted within the hole the male component can be rotated relative to the female component but translational movement of the male component relative to the female component is constrained.

The method includes instructing the wearer to lift the garment to form a gathered portion of the garment, form a loop shape with the strap around the gathered portion, and utilize the ring to retain the strap in the loop shape to hold the gathered portion in a fixed position relative to the wearer to expose a breast for nursing.

Magnetic system for fastening of an apparel belt

A magnetic system for fastening of an apparel belt is disclosed herein which differs substantially from conventional belt buckle fastening systems in that the present invention utilizes magnets concealed within the belt to secure the belt in the desired waist size, with said system eliminating the need for a functional buckle for fastening of the belt. The system disclosed herein further provides for novel application a non-slip coating to opposite contact ends of the belt to facilitate a secure fit of the belt and prevent loosening or unfastening of the belt once secured in the desired waist size by the wearer.

A non-interlocking magnetic zipper is provided which incorporates a first and second magnetic strip that connect together in response to movement of a magnetic slider which receives the second strip. The second strip includes a flexible, magnetic flap that is configured to repel the first strip and disable the magnetic attraction between the first and second strips based on the position of the slider. In operation, as the slider moves proximally along the second strip, the flap moves away from the first strip, thereby removing the repulsive force against the first strip and allowing the first and second strip to connect and close the zipper. Similarly, as the magnetic slider moves distally along the second strip, the flap moves back towards the first strip, thereby renewing the repulsive force against the first strip and allowing the first and second strips to disconnect and open the zipper.
