Sole for a shoe, in particular for a running shoe

Номер: US20120030971A9
Автор: Ejnar Truelsen
Принадлежит: Ecco Sko AS

A shoe sole ( 7 ) consisting of a midsole ( 1 ) and an outsole ( 3 ) consisting of discrete outsole elements. The midsole ( 1 ) has on the side facing the outsole a multiple of flex grooves ( 27, 29, 34, 51, 53, 55, 57, 63 ) crossing each other and creating pads ( 26, 28, 30, 33, 35, 50, 52, 54, 56 ) in the midsole. A curved forefoot flex groove ( 63 ) emanates from the medial side ( 21 ) of the arch ( 48 ) and essentially follows a path over one or more of the cuneiform bones ( 72, 73, 74 ) and continues between the third ( 83 ) and fourth ( 82 ) metatarsal phalanges, over the third ( 77 ) proximal phalange and continues between the first ( 85 ) and second ( 84 ) metatarsal phalanges in a direction towards the heel. Both the outsole elements and the pads are arranged to follow an essentially spiral curve ( 64 ) around the curved forefoot flex groove. The sole reduces the risk of injury during running, and gives the foot increased compensation possibilities for correcting imbalances especially after heel strike.

Systems And Methods For Stabilization Of A Phylon Article

Номер: US20120136083A1
Принадлежит: Nike Inc

A manufacturing method, within a modularized manufacturing environment for stabilizing a phylon article that is produced utilizing a heat press, is provided. Initially, the method includes immersing a phylon article in a first tank, with a fluid disposed therein, and withdrawing the phylon article from exposure with the fluid. Typically, the midsole is heated from its production with the heat press when it is placed into the first tank. The immersion in the first tank acts to cool the phylon article, thereby stabilizing the heated phylon. The phylon article may be next placed in a second tank, with a fluid disposed therein, and withdrawn from exposure with the fluid. The fluid of the first tank may reside at a temperature comparable to or higher than the temperature of the fluid of the second tank. Recursively exposing the heated phylon article to the fluid of the tanks incrementally decreases the volume of the article.

SOLE FOR SHOES HAVING ONE OR MORE VERTICAL ELEMENTS FOLDED OVER EACH OTHER, EXTENSIBLE AND ADAPTABLE TO THE DIFFERENT WIDTH OF THE ASSEMBLY LAST OF THE UPPER AND TO THE VARIATION OF THE CONFORMATION OF THE FOOT, EVEN PERMANENTLY

Номер: US20130185956A1

A sole is provided in a single-moulding made of non-rigid but elastic material having one or more vertical elements folded over each other in such a manner that the horizontal extension thereof mechanically adapts the width of the sole to the different width of the assembly lasts of the upper of a shoe. This also allows adapting the width of the sole to the variation of the conformation of the feet generated by the daily swellings thereof leaving the normal .flexibility and comfort of the shoe unaltered. The user may stabilize -the width of the sole to the possible -deformation of the foot by injecting, from, outside into the widened internal cavity, a foamed two-component fluid material which, upon solidification within a few minutes, blocks any widened part of the sole to the conformation or to the deformation of the feet of the user. 1.
