Book rests; leafholders. - A bookrest which may be constructed of hinged parts to fold flat, comprises a rear support 1 and leafholders 7 so arranged as to press on the open leaves of a book and to be adjustable for different thicknesses of books. The leaf-holders 7 are snail - shaped, are pivoted in a substantially horizontal plane, and are mounted on a flap 6 hinged to the foot 5 of the rest. An upwardly-extending rib 8 is hinged to the rear support 1 to project forwardly between the two holders 7. The rear support 1 is preferably in two sections with a gap between them for the back of a book.

Document holder 10 comprises a base 12 and a collapsible document support 14 hingedly mounted relative to the base. The support is hinged intermediate its ends to form first and second members 16 and 18. When erected the collapsible document support provides an angled support for a document. In a first position, distal end of member 18 is secured to the base by a hook (24, figure 1). Members 16 and 18 and base 12 are then in a substantially triangular formation to support a smaller document. In a second position, members 16 and 18 form a continuous straight member supported by a brace 30. A stop 20 associated with the bottom end of the document support prevents the document sliding off. The base may have protractor and ruler markings on it (figure 9). Hinges are self -locking.

The present invention is related to a portable frame for supporting a document including a supporting platform, a supporting body used to support a document to be shot, and a pivotal mechanism mounted between the supporting platform and the bottom of the supporting body. In which, the portable frame is used to cooperate with an electronic device having a camera module so as to have the document shot via the camera module in response to a focus adjustment between the document and the camera module. Further, the supporting platform has a first adjustable structure used to have the focus adjustment expended or contracted along a first horizontal direction. Besides, the supporting body has a second adjustable structure used to have an accommodated space thereof expended or contracted along a second horizontal direction and/or a vertical direction in response to a variety of sizes of the document.

A novel book stand arrangement capable of sustaining common reading material above the surface of water. An angled shelf capable of accommodating books, magazines, and folded newsprint is positioned at a height and angle optimal for users lounging and submersed within pools, spas, hot tubs, indoor jet tubs, or conventional residential bathtubs. The shelf is attached to a horizontal buoyant base and angled in such a way so that the weight of the reading material distributes the displacement evenly onto the base to promote stability and balance. The rear support arm may detach from the base and swivel flush onto the back of the shelf. The shelf may then swivel down and rest on the base to fold the unit flat for storage and transport. A clear plastic retainer is provided to hold bound material like paperbacks and hard/soft cover books in place against the shelf. The retainer slides down the front of the shelf to provide a transparent cavity for which the bound material can reside. While placed in this cavity they can remain open and stable on the shelf without the aid of the user. A clip light is also provided to aid users who wish to read in dimly light conditions. The clip light attaches on the upper edge of the shelf via a spring tension lever. The light is emitted from the end of a swivel arm capable of being positioned for maximum illumination of material. The spring tension lever may also serve as a page retainer for some materials to maintain stability and position.

A combination book box/book rest which can be formed from a one-piece foldable blank is disclosed. The foldable blank may be made of cardboard or plastic and comprises a flat, rectangular central section with two lateral flaps hinged to the opposite sides thereof. Upper and lower flaps are hinged respectively to the upper and lower ends of the central section. The lateral edges of the upper and lower flaps releasably engage in grooves in the lateral flaps to form a book box. The end portions of the upper and lower flaps are also releasably engagable with each other to convert the blank into an inclined book rest support.

COMPUTER DOCUMENT HOLDER

A free-standing computer document holder, having a rectangular viewing surface with a front top flange, and supported by right and left quadrilateral side structures having longer rear side edges and shorter front side edges. A holder, for a media device such as tablet computer etc, comprises two parts 100, 101 each having an erecting slot 114. When constructing the holder the two body parts 100 and 101 should have the erecting slots 114 aligned with the two body parts 100 and 101 at an opposing angle aligned laterally on the same axis. When a pressing motion is applied to the body parts 100 and 101, they may navigate along a length of the erecting slot 114 until a stabilising projection 108 is seated securely into a stabilising recess 109 on each part 100, 101. To facilitate storage and transportation of the parts 100, 101 they may be held securely together in an interlocked position (fig 2) using raised interlock 106 and recessed interlock 107. Location stops/ re-entrant portions 103, 104 act as a guide to locate a media device base (401, fig 4) or side (402). The holder may be made of plastics, e.g. polyurethane, and may partly comprises rubber.

INTERRETRACTABLE FOLDING PIANO STAND

An interretractable folding stand includes outer, inner and top pairs of mirror-image members. Each outer member is rotatably connected to an inner member and to a top member. Inner members are connected by a first hinge, and top members are connected by a second hinge, so that when inner and top members are fully rotatably misaligned with respect to the outer pair, the first and second hinges can be opened to allow the inner and outer members to form a tripod. When open, inner members can engage top members to support the top members in an elevated horizontal plane to provide a stable surface for supporting an elongated structure or instrument such as an electric piano. When closed, outer members align in parallel to form a retracting channel for the inner and top members.

The front panel is supported in an inclined position by a pair of spaced hingedly mounted brackets. The brackets have upwardly extending wing members which are spaced rearwardly from the front panel by leg members. The leg members extend horizontally from the wing members and are connected to the front panel by hinges for movement of the brackets between open and folded positions. The leg and wing members support the bottom edge and back, respectively, of an opened book which may be inserted between the front panel and wing members when the brackets are in open position, to maintain the book in a slanted upright position for easy reading through the transparent front panel.

A book holder for holding a book in open condition at a selected page comprises a pair of elongate limbs extending in opposite directions from a central zone and terminating at their free ends in reversely turned, page engageable fingers extending alongside and spaced from the associated limb. The limbs are coupled together in such a manner as to enable them to be adjusted relative to each other and vary the distance between the fingers. Supporting legs may be connected to the limbs to enable the book holder to support a book at an inclination to the horizontal. The legs preferably are pivoted to one another and to the limbs so as to enable the limbs and legs to be folded to a small-size unit when the holder is not being used.
