A self-contained, hand-held spray dispensing device includes an internal source of pressurized fluid that exerts a motive force on a pair of liquid ejecting elements to cause each to eject a liquid into a discharge line. The liquids remain separated until each exits its discharge port. A pressurized fluid is directed over the outlet ends of the discharge line beginning before a flow interrupter in the discharge line is opened to permit flow therethrough and ceasing after liquid flow is terminated. The pressurized fluid flow over the outlet of the discharge line aerosolizes liquids emanating from the outlet ends. Each liquid ejecting element takes the form of a piston disposed within a cylinder. The pistons responds to pressurized fluid imposed directly thereon from the source to generate the motive force on the ejecting element.

The present invention was developed by a neurosurgeon and seeks to mimic the results of primate neurological research which is indicative of a human's actual neurological control structures and logic. Specifically, the motor proprioceptive and tactile neurophysiology functioning of the surgeon's hands and internal hand control system from the muscular level through the intrafusal fiber system of the neural network is considered in creating the robot and method of operation of the present invention. Therefore, the surgery is not slowed down as in the art, because the surgeon is in conscious and subconscious natural agreement and harmonization with the robotically actuated surgical instruments based on neurological mimicking of the surgeon's behavior with the functioning of the robot. Therefore, the robot can enhance the surgeon's humanly limited senses while not introducing disruptive variables to the surgeon's naturally occurring operation of his neurophysiology. This is therefore also a new field, neurophysiological symbiotic robotics.

The distal end of the sleeve is typically configured to penetrate the tissue in which the tissue anchor is to be inserted. A tissue anchor is also deployed through the sleeve, after the sleeve is in position, on a delivery device configured to support the tissue anchor during its insertion into the tissue. Typically the leading end of the sleeve is embedded within the tissue when the tissue anchor emerges from the distal end during the insertion process, so the tissue anchor is not damaged by insertion through the tissue.

The cover is arranged and configured to cooperate with the selected insert, and each of the plurality of different covers is arranged and configured to cooperate with one or more of the plurality of different inserts. Methods of customizing these devices and kits for consumer use are also described.

A spine measurement system comprises a spinal instrument, alignment circuitry, insert instrument, and a remote system. The insert instrument comprises a handle, a shaft, and a module. The insert instrument can be used to retain, direct, and place a prosthetic component in a spinal region. The module includes an electronic assembly for receiving, processing, and sending data from the insert instrument. The module includes alignment circuitry for providing trajectory, alignment, and position information on the placement of the prosthetic component. A GUI of remote system can display a workflow and report the trajectory, alignment, and position information of insert instrument during different steps of the workflow. The system allows accurate placement of a prosthetic component in a previously probed region.
