A method for coagulating and dissecting tissue. The method includes measuring a tissue property and delivering multiple energy modalities to the tissue based on the tissue property. The energy modalities being delivered from a generator either alone or in combination. 1. A method comprising:delivering, by a first drive circuit, a first energy modality to an end effector of a surgical instrument interacting with tissue;determining, by a processor, a tissue parameter of the tissue interacting with the end effector;comparing, by the processor, the determined tissue parameter with a threshold value of the tissue parameter; anddelivering, by a drive circuit, a second energy modality to the end effector when the determined tissue parameter is greater than or equal to the threshold value of the tissue parameter;wherein the first energy modality is different from the second energy modality.2. The method of claim 1 , wherein the tissue parameter comprises tissue impedance claim 1 , and the method further comprising claim 1 , calculating claim 1 , by the processor claim 1 , the tissue impedance based on electrical parameters associated with the first energy modality.3. The method of claim 1 , further comprising:controlling, by the processor, the first energy modality delivered to the end effector based on the tissue parameter as an input; andselecting, by the processor, the second energy modality to deliver to interact with the tissue by the end effector, wherein properties of the first and second energy modalities correspond to a type of interaction between the end effector and the tissue.4. The method of claim 1 , further comprising delivering claim 1 , by the first drive circuit claim 1 , the first energy modality until a tissue seal is formed.5. A method comprising:delivering, by a drive circuit, a first drive signal to an end effector of a surgical instrument at an amplitude;measuring, by a processor, a tissue parameter of tissue engaged with the end effector;modulating, ...
