A system to treat a patient comprises a user interface that allows a physician to view an image of tissue to be treated in order to develop a treatment plan to resect tissue with a predefined removal profile. The image may comprise a plurality of images, and the planned treatment is shown on the images. The treatment probe may comprise an anchor, and the image shown on the screen may have a reference image marker shown on the screen corresponding to the anchor. The planned tissue removal profile can be displayed and scaled to the image of the target tissue of an organ such as the prostate, and the physician can adjust the treatment profile based on the scaled images to provide a treatment profile in three dimensions. The images shown on the display may comprise segmented images of the patient with treatment plan overlaid on the images.

A method for providing localized heating of the dermal layers of skin of a patient, using energy in the form of a group of pulses having defined parameters in a controlled manner. This method preferably uses an optical delivery system to deliver pulsed energy to a specific spot of skin so that targeted layers of the affected skin are heated to a desired temperature range. The temperature range is optimally selected to maximize treatment efficacy while minimizing pain to the patient. Example applications include reducing wrinkles, acne, hair, scar tissue, warts, and promoting wound healing. In this method, the temperature of the selected locus rises quickly to the desired temperature range, then is maintained within a controlled range with a relatively flat temperature profile. An ophthalmic surgical laser system and method for forming a lenticule in a subject's eye using “fast-scan-slow-sweep” scanning scheme. A high frequency scanner forms a fast scan line, which is placed by the XY and Z scanners at a location tangential to a parallel of latitude of the surface of the lenticule. The XY and Z scanners then move the scan line in a slow sweep trajectory along a meridian of longitude of the surface of the lenticule in one sweep. The treatment device also comprises a controller ( 60 ) for generating a predefined disposition of lesions ( 120 ) in the skin tissue by emitting laser light via selected ones of the plurality of locations in the emission window while the treatment device is moved relative to the skin surface ( 105 ). The controller is configured for generating an area disposition of the lesions by scanning the laser light across the emission window using the laser scanning system and deflecting laser light into the skin tissue via the plurality of locations while the treatment device is moved relative to the skin surface, whereas in the line treatment mode the controller is configured to generate a line disposition of the lesions inside the skin tissue from a single predefined location of the emission window by maintaining the at least one deflection element in a stationary position relative to the emission window while the treatment device is moved relative to the skin surface.

Control circuit is coupled to the light source, the angular position detector and the storage means and being operative to control the light source in dependence on the angular position detected by the angular position detector in such a way that, for each revolution of the wheel, the light beam only illuminates the wheel surface in selected angular positions of the wheel to realize the predefined skin-treatment pattern. The present invention relates to a medical skin wrinkle improving device using an RRSS irradiating method of a laser, which is capable of improving skin wrinkles and minimizing tissue damage. The medical skin wrinkle improving device comprises a main body, a handpiece, and a tablet computer. The main body includes: a mounting groove, from which the tablet computer is detached, in an upper part; a signal transmitting and receiving unit which is connected to the tablet computer and transmits and receives signals; and a MICOM which controls laser output. The handpiece includes: a laser oscillating unit which generates the laser irradiated for skin treatment; an optical unit which irradiates the laser generated in the laser oscillating unit with balanced light; a laser scanner which controls irradiating positions of the laser received in the optical unit; and a laser pattern unit in which a movement coordinate value is set so that a moving direction of the laser, which is transmitted in a surgery area outer boundary line called through a surgery area display, is performed in a regular pattern type. The tablet computer includes functions of data input and screen display by a touch screen method and remotely controls the main body through transmitting and receiving of bidirectional signals. The MICOM reduces PIH and D.T. by securing cooling time for a position to which a laser beam is transmitted in a skin surgery step of irradiating the laser beam to skins through time & maximum space cooling by using a peak value of a laser pulse when an amplitude of the generated laser pulse reaches a peak value and then reaches a predetermined normal state value. The MICOM prevents a local burn by not repeatedly irradiating the laser beam to a specific position.
