The invention is a system and method for guiding a dental treatment tool. The system comprises a guidance device inserted into the mouth and an analyzer unit receiving tool location information from the device and providing an image indicating the location of the tool in relation to the jaw. A battery is electrically connected to the input and the display for powering the input and the display. A reservoir is secured to the wearable body. An output is electrically connected to the input and the display for receiving an indication of an alert. 1. A system , comprising:a dental handpiece;a wearable controller including a fluid reservoir and a battery; anda conduit connecting the wearable controller and the dental handpiece, the conduit providing fluid communication between the dental handpiece and the fluid reservoir.2. The system of claim 1 , wherein the conduit is configured to receive fluid from the fluid reservoir and provide fluid to an outlet of the dental handpiece.4. A medical treatment apparatus includes a power and control (PAC) device. The PAC device provides electrical power through a cable to a laser handpiece assembly to electrically power a laser source within the handpiece assembly. The PAC device controls operation of the handpiece assembly and detects an identification of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device also monitors data relating to operation of the handpiece assembly. The PAC device uploads, through a communication network to a user assistance center remote from the PAC device, the handpiece assembly identification and the monitored data. 1. A method of providing a user assistance center and a remotely located medical treatment power and control (PAC) device , comprising:configuring the user assistance center to bidirectionally communicate over a communication network with the PAC device;configuring the user assistance center to receive from a user over the communication network, one or more notes input into the PAC device regarding use of the PAC device; andconfiguring the PAC device to:provide electrical power through a cable to a handpiece assembly;control operation of the handpiece assembly;detect an identification of the handpiece assembly;automatically switch the handpiece assembly to ready mode based on the identification without further action from the user;monitor data relating to operation of the handpiece assembly; andupload, through the communication network to a user assistance center that is remote from the PAC device, the handpiece assembly identification and the monitored data.2. Tools and methods for expanding a precursor hole in a host material to receive a fixture. The precursor hole is enlarged by a rotary tool having helical flutes and interposed lands. The flutes have a negative rake angle. The lands each have a working edge that cuts the host material when the tool is rotated in a cutting direction, and that condenses the host material when the tool is rotated in a densifying direction. The body of the rotary tool has a stopper section that plugs the hole when a certain depth is reached. When the tool is used with a copious wash of irrigating fluid at or below the necessary depth, hydraulic pressure builds inside the precursor hole. The hydraulic pressure can be advantageously exploited in cutting mode to autograft a slurry of host material particles into the sidewalls of the hole and create an incipient densifying crust.
