After two sides of an elastic membrane under a tensile state are compounded with nonwoven fabric strips by hot pressing respectively, the elastic membrane rebounds and resets to impel the nonwoven fabric strips located on two sides of the elastic membrane to form a folded side-leakage-proof side wall. The elastic membrane is in the shape of a concave arc. The absorbent main body has a pair of leak-proof walls in respective side end portions. Each of the leak-proof walls has a skin-side portion that includes a plurality of elastic members and a non-skin-side portion. The pair of leak-proof walls each have a joining portion in which mutually opposing surfaces of the skin-side portion and the non-skin-side portion are joined, and a non-joining portion above the joining portion. The mutually opposing surfaces are not joined in the non-joining portion. The joining portions are inward, with respect to the width direction, of leading ends of the leak-proof walls. Each of the joining portions is overlapped with the stomach-side member or the back-side member in an up-down direction.

A secondary internal topsheet and leg wrap structure is provided in a disposable absorbent garment such as a diaper or training pants. The leg wrap structure has a base layer, a top layer, and an elastic construction disposed inbetween. The elastic construction includes a plurality of spaced apart elastic elements that are aligned in a generally in generally parallel relation. The leg wrap structure and secondary topsheet provides for the efficient formation of a reservoir and a plurality of fluid dams each capable of capturing a quantity of fluid to minimize the occurrence of fluid leaks from the absorbent article. Methods of forming such absorbent articles are disclosed.

There is provided a fully elastic, breathable, barrier fabric comprising a nonwoven web layer of fibers, where the web has a hydrohead of at least 4 mbar, a basis weight of less than 68 gsm and which is made from an elastic polyolefin. If the fabric is a laminate it may be an SMS, SBL or NBL laminate. This fabric is particularly well suited to use as a containment flap for personal care products such as diapers, incontinence products and feminine hygiene products and in infection control products. The fabric may also be used as a liner in personal care products.
