A sanitary napkin comprises an absorbing body. The napkin comprises a cover sheet for covering the surface of the top sheet. A circumferential edge region of the cover sheet is joined to the absorbing body. A flap for fixing the absorbing body to underwear is sectionalized by a sectionalizing line in the central region of the cover sheet. At the time of use, the flap is folded in a folding region and is expanded so as to be fixed to the underwear. A mark is provided on the surface of the cover sheet positioned substantially at the center of the absorbing body to facilitate the positioning of the absorbing body relative to clothing. The mark is colored, but a surrounding portion surrounding the mark is not colored.

When the belt portion of the article is stretched beyond its design range for wear the fit indicator graphic has a third appearance. By confirming the configuration of the fit indicator graphic in the second appearance in wear, the proper fit of the disposable absorbent article may be verified. Use of fit indicator graphics in combination with reference graphics and in arrays of products are also disclosed.

The article includes at least one set of first and second electrical contacts secured in intimate physical and electrical contact with the conductive layer such that when an electric potential is applied between the first and second electrical contacts, an electric current travels between them and through the conductive layer in such a way so as to follow a first relatively high impedance path along the conductive layer when the absorbent core is dry and a relatively low impedance path when the absorbent core is wet. This system allows a system verification check, even in the dry state, and the determination of the extent of the wet portion of the absorbent core.

The antimicrobial composition includes a carrier comprising fatty alcohol and a poly(alkyleneoxy) polymer, and an antimicrobial agent. The antimicrobial composition may be coated on to component substrates such as nonwovens and films, that are incorporated into disposable absorbent articles, such as disposable infant diapers, adult incontinence articles, feminine hygiene articles such as sanitary napkins, wound dressings, bandages, panty liners and tampons, personal care wipes and household wipes to provide odor control, and control of microbial growth.

A pressure sensing clip (1) and a system including a bandage (19) for detecting and displaying the pressure applied by a (compression) bandage (19) to a human or animal body in which the pressure sensing clip (1) has an inner bandage penetrating arm (2) and an outer arm (3) hingedly attached to the inner arm (2) at a hinge (4) so that the outer arm (3) is movable between a hingedly closed position with respect to the inner arm (2) and a hingedly open position. The device can be operatively attached to an applied compression bandage, or it can be placed beneath or between the bandage during bandage application so that the bandage covers the sensing part of the device. In the latter application, the ability of the arms of the device to adapt an open configuration allows the bandage to be applied over the inner arm leaving the outer arm to close once the bandage has been applied. The device can receive, store and transmit data to a user.

A pump generates a vacuum at a wound site via first tubing. A negative pressure circuit is defined by a canister, the first tubing and the wound site. A controller of a therapy device operates the pump to apply a first negative pressure to the entirety of the negative pressure circuit, following which ambient air is allowed to flow into the negative pressure circuit. The controller also operates the pump to apply a second negative pressure to a selected portion of the negative pressure circuit exclusive of the wound site, following which ambient air is allowed to flow into the selected portion. A quantity of fluid to be delivered to the wound site via a second tubing is determined by comparing measured parameters related to the flow of air into the negative pressure circuit to parameters measured with respect to the flow of air into the selected portion.

A packaged absorbent article , comprising:a. a wrapper sheet having an opacity of about 8.5% to about 50% wherein said sheet comprises a nonwoven, that is in the form of a pouch, and that comprises a non-white coloration treatment that introduces or mixes a non-white color pigment into the fibers of the nonwoven; andb. an individual absorbent article disposed in the pouch, the absorbent article being folded but not folded together with the wrapper sheet so that a portion of the wrapper sheet is not disposed between two folded and facing portions of the absorbent article and so that none of the absorbent article is temporarily affixed to the pouch wrapper sheet.2. The packaged absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the wrapper sheet has a UV transmittance of about 0 to about 35.3. The packaged absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the absorbent article comprises two fold lines.4. The packaged absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the absorbent article comprises a backsheet and panty fastening adhesive disposed on an exterior surface thereof.5. The packaged absorbent article of claim 4 , wherein a removable release sheet covers the panty fastening adhesive prior to using the absorbent article.6. The packaged absorbent article of claim 5 , wherein the removable release sheet comprises a graphic printed thereon.7. The packaged absorbent article of claim 1 , wherein the absorbent article comprises an absorbent core having a plurality of layers.8.
