The interior of the supply vial adapter end may also have a spiral track for additional security. A removable adapter may be fitted on the top of small supply vials.

The device includes an elastic covering, a filling material inside the elastic covering, an openable sealed reservoir located within the filling, an absorbent material surrounding the reservoir, and a calming odor releasing substance sealed within the reservoir. The present invention also relates to a method of reducing tension in a subject. This method involves providing a subject in need of tension relief with the device of the present invention. The device is manipulated to break open the reservoir and release the calming odor releasing substance. The released calming odor is inhaled in an amount sufficient to lower salivary cortisol levels in the subject and thereby reduce tension in the subject.

The locking fingers ( 78, 80 ) are adapted to engage by a hooked fit the locking ports ( 86, 88 ) when the needle ( 18 ) is fully retracted after use to prevent any subsequent movement of the plunger ( 20 ) with the engaged needle towards the leading end. The cap is moveable from a ready position to an open position to expose a needle, and from the open position to a secured position to prevent relative rotation between the cap and the base. A first latching mechanism is on the cap for engaging the needle, the first latching mechanism locatable on a first side of the needle in the ready position and locatable on a second side of the needle in the secured position. The needle is disengageable from the first latching mechanism in the ready position, and the needle is not disengageable from the first latching mechanism in the secured position.

The anchoring member integrally includes a pair of opposing pull tabs, a slit disposed between the opposing pull tabs, and a third pull tab disposed between the slit and one of the opposing pull tabs. Pulling the opposing pull tabs opens the slit for receiving a catheter hub in the slit, and the third pull tab is insertable into the slit for securing the catheter hub between the anchoring member and the base member.

At the same time, the outer peripheral side of the luer lock adapter ( 22 ) is covered with the outer tubular cover ( 62 ) of the cap. The bulge part ( 213 ) is formed in the distal end side portion of the inner aperture ( 212 ) in the distal end nozzle so that the aperture diameter (d) of the distal end opening is reduced to a small aperture diameter and, in addition, the length of seal (s) by the seal cap ( 63 ) is made to be a relatively short, predetermined length. The diameter of the filled medicinal liquid to be sucked in until the vacuum breaks down when the cap is pulled out, is made very small and, in addition, the vacuum is made to break down instantly, thereby making it possible to prevent the occurrence of “link-thread” even if the medicinal liquid filled is of high viscosity.

A fenestration system can be useful for draining cysts, abscesses, or other bodily cavities. A fenestration system can include: a drainage screwdriver; a drainage screw removably receivable onto the drainage screwdriver; and a drainage cap removably coupleable with the drainage screw when the drainage screw removed from the drainage screwdriver. The drainage screwdriver can receive the drainage screw so that the drainage screw can be screwed through tissue and/or cyst or abscess sac. The drainage screwdriver can then release the drainage screw so that it is inserted into the tissue, cyst, or abscess so as to be capable of drainage. A lumen in the drainage screw can function similarly to a drainage tube. The drainage cap can be applied to the drainage screw to close the lumen to inhibit other fluids or particles from entering into the tissue, cyst, or abscess via the lumen.
