Compositions are described that may be used for applications such as a fire extinguishing composition in fire extinguishing unit, refrigeration, and the like. These compositions include halocarbons and additives that may stabilize the composition in the presence of a metal, water, and/or air. A stabilized composition comprising:2-bromo-3,3,3-trifluoropropene;cyclohexene oxide or cyclopentene oxide; and{'sub': '7-9', 'at least one antioxidant selected from the group consisting of: 2,5-di-tert-butyl-4-methoxyphenol; a Cbranched alkyl ester of 3,5,-di-tert-butyl-4-hydroxycinnamic acid; di-n-butylsulfoxide; and 1,2,5,6-diepoxycyclooctane.'}2. An inert gas generating system includes a source of a liquid hydrocarbon fuel, and a fractioning unit configured to receive a portion of the liquid hydrocarbon fuel from the source. The fractioning unit includes a perm-selective membrane configured to separate the portion of the liquid hydrocarbon fuel into substantially sulfur-free vapors and a sulfur-containing remainder. The system further includes a catalytic oxidation unit configured to receive and react the substantially sulfur-free vapors to produce an inert gas. 1. An inert gas generating system comprising:a source of a liquid hydrocarbon fuel;a fractioning unit configured to receive a portion of the liquid hydrocarbon fuel from the source, the fractioning unit comprising a perm-selective membrane configured to separate the portion of the liquid hydrocarbon fuel into substantially sulfur-free vapors and a sulfur-containing remainder; anda catalytic oxidation unit configured to receive and react the substantially sulfur-free vapors to produce an inert gas.2. The system of further comprising: a pressure differential generator in fluid communication with a permeate side of the perm-selective membrane claim 1 , wherein the pressure differential generator is configured to create a partial pressure gradient across the perm-selective membrane.3. The system of claim 2 , wherein the pressure differential generator is an air source configured to provide an air stream.4. The system of claim 3 , wherein the air stream is selected from the group consisting of ambient air claim 3 , ram air claim 3 , fan air claim 3 , engine bleed air claim 3 , cabin air claim 3 , and combinations thereof.5. 本发明公开了一种灭火剂及其制备方法。所述灭火剂包括全氟己酮/沸石气固复合灭火组分,所述全氟己酮/沸石气固复合灭火组分包括70‑95wt%沸石,2.5‑15wt%全氟己酮和2.5‑15wt%辅料,相对于所述全氟己酮/沸石气固复合灭火组分的总重量。所述方法包括将沸石粉置于反应容器内,抽至真空,置于50‑80℃环境,注入全氟己酮,放置12‑36小时,冷却至室温,加入辅料,均匀混合。该灭火剂成本低廉、工艺简单,腐蚀性低,可解决全氟己酮及干粉类灭火剂存在的不足,适用于固体火灾、液体油类火灾等多种火灾场景;全氟己酮/沸石气固复合灭火剂可以单独作为灭火剂使用,也可与现有干粉灭火剂进行复配使用,且无需更新灭火装置,方便快捷,具有重要的应用价值。

A firefighting apparatus includes a reaction chamber, a CO2 tank fluidly connected to the reaction chamber, acid and carbonate tanks, acid and carbonate pumps, and a controller. The acid and carbonate pumps act to correspondingly regulate flow of acid from the acid tank and carbonate from the carbonate tank to the reaction chamber. Acid and carbonate react within the reaction chamber to produce CO2 gas which flows into the CO2 tank and liquid byproduct which is releasable through a reaction chamber outlet. A CO2 gas delivery valve is fluidly connected to a delivery outlet of the CO2 tank to regulate release of CO2 therefrom. The CO2 tank includes a pressure sensor for measuring a CO2 tank pressure. The controller is configured to control operation of the acid and carbonate pumps, and the CO2 gas delivery valve according to a user command signal, the CO2 tank pressure, or both.
