A method for providing a cascade of balls to a ball pool comprises transporting at least some of the balls from a ball pool to a storage vessel and releasing at least some of the balls from said storage vessel as a cascade of balls back into the said pool. A ball transport mechanism comprises a conduit leading from a source of balls to a storage vessel 15, a chamber 16 adjacent the storage vessel, the vessel and the chamber having apertures in a wall, a fan 20 for drawing air through the storage vessel and discharging it into the chamber, and a flap member 30 adapted to pivot around an axis to alternately close and expose the apertures in the walls and comprising means to bias it closed. The mechanism also includes a cut off means to adjust the flow of air. When the flow rate is slow enough the flap pivots open and the balls are discharged through the base of the storage vessel.

The invention relates to a flow divider for a sheet flow water ride having an inclined ride surface capable of dividing it into two or more sections, wherein more than one rider can then safely ride on the water ride at the same time. In addition a method for efficiently utilizing facilities and land that are vacant, underutilized, have limited uses, or that are contiguous to or nearby recreational, educational, sports, or commercial venues is disclosed. The method providing a publicly accessible urban beach entertainment complex with a centerpiece manmade tropical-style pristine-clear lagoon having a surf feature. The method allows for generating revenue and increasing efficiency by pairing vacant sites, underutilized sites, limited use land, or sites that are contiguous to entertainment, educational, sports, and/or commercial venues with urban beach entertainment complexes. The invention relates to a flow divider for a sheet flow water ride having an inclined ride surface capable of dividing it into two or more sections, wherein more than one rider can then safely ride on the water ride at the same time. The water ride can include an inclined ride surface on which a sheet flow of water is propelled that can conform to the contours of the ride surface. The flow divider can be an inflatable tube that can float and extend longitudinally over the sheet flow in the same direction thereof. The flow divider can be secured at its front end to the water ride, and its back end can be relatively free to pivot and shift from side to side. In some embodiments, the air pressure in the tube can be adjusted to enable the divider to be inflated to the appropriate stiffness.

There is provided a system for providing interactivity to a guest of an experiential venue, based on sensor measurement of the guest. The system comprises a sensor configured to sense a guest variable of the guest, where the sensor may be a biometric sensor, a facial recognition sensor, a voice stress analysis sensor, a gesture recognition sensor, a motion tracking sensor, or an eye tracking sensor, and may sense heart rate or another guest variable. The system also comprises a control system, which may be implemented as a computer, in communication with the sensor. The control system is configured to determine a guest state from the guest variable, and to modify a venue variable, for example by selecting a path a theme park ride follows.
