An aqueous sludge of a cationic urea-formaldehyde-polyfunctional organic nitrogen base resin is dried by first adding to the sludge a liquid, water-miscible ether, ketone or monohydric alcohol to form a dispersion of the resin and then separating the resin by drying in any known way, e.g. vacuum, vacuum drum or spray drying. The dispersion is preferably concentrated before drying. Examples of the liquids are methanol, ethanol, propanol, isopropanol, tert. butyl alcohol, acetone, dioxane and methoxymethane. The resins include those prepared from urea and/or thiourea with any methylene yielding compound. The polyfunctional modifiers are water-soluble alkylene- and polyalkylene - polyamines, guanidines, biguanides, guanylureas and their salts, condensation products of alkylenepolyamines with halohydrins, alkylolamines and their aldehyde condensation products. A musical toy includes a plurality of tone producing, whistle-like structures arranged in pairs, each tone producing structure connected by a passageway to an hermetically sealed deformable hollow cavity or bulb. Each bulb includes a top generally flat surface having fixed surface area and a resilient, porous biasing agent which inflates the cavities to a predetermined size and configuration. When a cavity is depressed to a deflated position, compressed air is forced through connecting tubes into a sound generating structure thereby producing an audible, musical sound. Eight of the sound generating structures are provided in one apparatus to produce a unit having a full octave of notes. The sealed cavities are provided by selectively laminating a predetermined pattern of seal lines between two sheets of thermoplastic material such as soft, pliable vinyl sheets.

The musical box has vibratory blades actuated by the points on a rotary drum, with a rocking driving spindle imparting to the drum a continuous rotary movement via a train of reversing gears. The spindle (1) carries a pulley (13), round which an actuation cord (15) is wound, and also a return spring (17) bringing it back to the starting position after each rocking movement. The spring can be of the coil type anchored between the spindle and the frame. At one end of the drum there may be a worm wheel, meshing with a worm forming part of the gear train, and there can be a stop on the frame close to the pulley, to prevent the cord coming off it.

Method, modules and a system formed by connecting the modules for controlling payloads are disclosed. An activation signal is propagated in the system from a module to the modules connected to it.
