A seal assembly , comprising:a seal body having a space formed therein;a seal carrier held within said space, said seal carrier being selectively positionable between a sealing position and a rotation position by moving along a carrying path;at least one seal carried by said seal carrier; anda hermetic seal held within said space out of said carrying path of said seal carrier, said hermetic seal being configured to be abraded away by a rotating element that said hermetic seal is pressing against.2. The seal assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said seal body includes a gas port connected to a portion of said space between said seal carrier and said hermetic seal.3. The seal assembly according to claim 1 , further comprising a spring biasing said seal carrier toward said sealing position.4. The seal assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said seal carrier includes a magnetic material.5. The seal assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said at least one seal carried by said seal carrier is a plurality of seals carried by said seal carrier.6. A method for handling a product, in particular a viscous, pasty product, with at least one rotating shaft ( 3, 11 ) in a product space ( 5 ), a driving spindle ( 11 ) of the shaft ( 3 ) is mounted and sealed outside the product space ( 5 ) in a housing consisting of a plurality of parts ( 7, 8, 12 ). The sealing is brought about by at least two seals ( 2, 4 ), wherein a dynamic seal ( 2 ) follows an eccentric movement of the shaft ( 3 ) and takes on dynamic sealing of the rotating shaft ( 3 ), while another seal ( 4 ) compensates for an eccentric movement of the shaft ( 3 ) in relation to the housing by plastic or elastic deformation and therefore prevents a leakage between the housing part ( 12 ), which moves eccentrically, and a rigid housing ( 10 ). A defined quantity of liquid, which serves as a blocking agent and lubricant for the dynamic seal ( 2 ) of the shaft ( 3 ) towards the housing part ( 7 ), is metered in here, the liquid, apart from a residual excess, being drawn into the dynamic seal ( 2 ) by a pressure difference therewithin and thereby forming an effective block and seal.

The inside peripheral face of the annular seal ( 1 ) is provided with a helical lip ( 120 ).

The present invention relates to a mixer with a mixing container and a tool shaft ( 8 ) which is arranged at least partly in the mixing container and has a drive end and a working end for a working tool ( 6 ), the tool shaft ( 8 ) being mounted on the drive end by means of two mutually set-apart tool bearings and a drive motor ( 7 ) being provided for the tool shaft ( 8 ). In order to provide a mixer which is simple and economical to manufacture and has as few movable and wearing parts as possible and the tool shaft ( 8 ) of which is, in addition, able to accommodate the considerable transverse forces occurring during operation, the invention proposes that the drive motor ( 7 ) have a motor shaft which is mounted, at least on one side, by a tool bearing.

A wine aerator includes a gas conduit having a proximal end in fluid communication with a distal end, wherein the gas conduit passes through a seal and wherein the distal end is configured to be insertable into an inside of an uncorked wine bottle. A gas source is connectable to the proximal end of the gas conduit and is in fluidic communication with the gas conduit, wherein the gas source comprises an air pump having an adjustable flow rate of at least 0.1 liters per minute up to a maximum of 20 liters per minute. A bubble-generating aeration element is disposed at the distal end of the gas conduit and in fluidic communication with the gas conduit. The bubble-generating aeration element comprises a porous material having an average pore size of at least 1 micron up to a maximum of 500 microns.
