A negative-pressure dust collector system employs a dust separator device to separate the dust that is entrained in a stream of dust-laden air, exhausts the air stream to a vacuum-inducing machine, and discharge the separated dust downward into a bagger arrangement. The latter employs an open-bottom generally rigid hopper with a grid across its open bottom. A flexible dust collection bag is clamped onto an exterior of the hopper and hangs from the hopper. A hybrid cyclone mist collection device having a housing containing an inlet, an outlet and a cyclone body forming a wall extending about a vertical axis. The inlet brings mist-laden air through an airflow straightening area into the cyclone body in a tangential manner, creating a spiral flow path within the cyclone body. Mist-laden air entering the spiral flow path then moves downwardly through the cyclone body causing mist particles to collect on the wall of the cyclone body and then move downward due to the downward spiral airflow and gravity. At the bottom of the cyclone body the collected liquid enters an annular drain channel located beneath a vortex deflector plate and an annular shed sheet. A drain connected to the drain channel continuously removes the collected liquid from the housing and returns it to the machine tool station for reuse. The de-misted air exits the outlet and moves on to a central filter housing for final treatment.

A surface cleaning apparatus comprising:(a) an air flow path extending from a dirty air inlet to a clean air outlet;(b) an air treatment member having an air treatment chamber positioned in the air flow path, the air treatment chamber comprising an air treatment chamber air inlet, an air treatment chamber air outlet, an openable first end, a longitudinally spaced apart second end having the air treatment chamber air outlet and a longitudinally extending sidewall, the sidewall having a longitudinally extending slot, wherein the air treatment chamber air outlet comprises a longitudinally extending porous member having a longitudinally extending porous sidewall;(c) a suction motor positioned in the air flow path upstream of the clean air outlet;(d) a moveable member positioned in the air treatment chamber, the moveable member comprising at least one of the porous member and a cleaning member positioned in the air treatment chamber between the sidewall of the air treatment chamber and the porous sidewall; and,(e) a handle that is drivingly connected to the moveable member by a driving linkage and part of the driving linkage extends through the slot whereby the moveable member is longitudinally translatable through at least a portion of the chamber.2.
