An adapter sized to fit on a short-neck or long-neck beer or soda bottle or upon a non-gas containing fluid bottle having a similar opening size, which adapter is interposed between a spray gun and the bottle to permit the content of the bottle to be sprayed onto food stuffs to add spice or a flavorant to the food. The adapter has two portions, the first of which is a cylinder of flexible preferably clear plastic having a distil end and a proximal end. The proximal end being unthreaded but sized in diameter to engage the area around the bottle's top opening, be it threaded or not. The distil end of the adapter device has a second portion attqached thereto, which is a set of threads that will engage the female threads of the rotatable cap of a sem-typical liquid spray gun.

A precompression system for a liquid dispensing device is presented, that prevents liquid from being discharged until a predetermined pressure has been built up. The system comprises a pump for drawing liquid through an inlet and discharging it through an outlet, and a precompression valve disposed between the pump and the outlet. The valve allows liquid in the pump to reach the outlet once the predetermined pressure is established, and stops liquid from reaching the outlet once the pressure falls below it. The precompression valve comprises an elastic diaphragm normally closing the valve opening, with a concave surface facing the valve opening and in fluid communication with the pump and a convex surface in fluid communication with atmospheric pressure. The diaphragm may be stretched around a valve seat. Methods of assembling such a precompression system in a dispensing device are also presented.

A pump dispenser is intended for oral administration of medicines. A pump receives fluid product through a valved inlet from a container, preferably of the airless type with a follower piston. The dispenser may be a movable-nozzle or fixed-nozzle dispenser. The discharge outlet of the dispenser has a stub nozzle incorporating a closure valve. A spring urges the closure valve forward to close a discharge opening of the stub nozzle. The nozzle attachment is shaped for oral dosing and has an internal rearwardly-projecting actuating structure which, when the nozzle attachment is coupled onto the stub nozzle, pushes the closure valve open. When the nozzle attachment is removed the spring closes the outlet again. Child-resistant features are described for fitting the nozzle attachment to the stub nozzle.

A pump dispenser has a pump body held down onto the neck of a container by a closure cap, securing by a rotational engagement, typically a screw thread. To supplement security for demanding shipping conditions the cap and neck have a supplementary locking mechanism which engages selectively in the fully screwed-down position of the cap to inhibit its rotational release of the cap. It may have respective hooked lugs of the cap and neck. Inward lugs or catches may be carried on a bottom collar of the cap. The mechanism may be releasable, such as by resilient deformation such as lateral squeezing to disengage a cap lug from a neck lug. A quantitative pressing sprayer includes a clamping plate, a pressing head, and a hand-held screw cap connected with a container. The pressing head penetrates through the hand-held screw cap. The clamping plate is pressed against and arranged on the pressing head. An end of the clamping plate is used as a fixed end that is connected with the hand-held screw cap. Another end of the clamping plate is used as a pressed end. The clamping plate drives the pressing head with the fixed end as a pivot of a lever. The pressed end and the fixed end form a first arm, the pressing head and the fixed end form a second arm, and the first arm is longer than the second arm. 1. A quantitative pressing sprayer comprising:a hand-held screw cap connected with a container;a pressing head penetrating through the hand-held screw cap; anda clamping plate pressed against and arranged on the pressing head, the clamping plate comprising:a fixed end connected with the hand-held screw cap; anda pressed end,wherein the clamping plate drives the pressing head with the fixed end as a pivot of a lever, andwherein the pressed end and the fixed end form a first arm, the pressing head and the fixed end form a second arm, and the first arm is longer than the second arm.2. User-selectable volumes of a viscous condiment such as ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise are consistently dispensed from a pressurized vessel. The vessel is pressurized using a small air pump, a cylinder of compressed gas or an external gas source.
